Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 120: How do you want to die?

My advice is to start drinking heavily.

I'm not pre-Med, but I do know basic first aid.;)

gmann - listen to Brenthoven. He knows what he is talking about. Alcohol is the cause and solution to all of life's problems. It really is the miracle drug. ;)'

Good Evening, Lodge!

Bob,

So sorry to read of your loss.:( Lost my mom about 11 years ago. The only consolation may be that she's not suffering and battling those health problems any more.

been thinking of you. hang in there Shirtless.
Thanks again. :) Got some more details worked out today; the funeral is Wednesday at 2 PM at my mom's church, there will be a lunch afterward, and we decided which charity people can donate to in Mom's memory.

Thanks. However, it's not that easy. ANOTHER friend is having some health issues. Biopsy results will be available early next week.
Sending prayers your way!

Evening, Lodge. Baked some bread at work, had some beer at home, and I'm going to go hang out with Forky and (presumably) the Brickmeister later this evening.
Awesome; what kind of bread?

Evening, Lodge. Today was a slightly better day; still hasn't sank in yet, but at least my dad and I are getting through this.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 120: How do you want to die?

Also, I have a new beer to try, from some little brewery out in western MN (one not named "Gluek" or "Cold Spring".)

Cold Spring Brewery is Listed for contract-brewing the stuff I drank tonight. It wasn't *bad*, but it wasn't that great, and it wasn't worth $12 for a 12 pack.

if I ever get out to Minnesota I'm going to rent a U-Haul so I can take all the beer back.

Between Lift Bridge, Town Hall, Surly, Summit and Schell's, you're darn right. :D

Just a plain wheat bread, round loaf - I was assigned to the bake shop in oldey-timey-land. Tastes alright though.

And, good luck again. I don't envy you at all, but I hope your family is doing as well as you can.

$12?!

Just told MNS: for a frame of reference, Premo is $9-10 usually. Nordeast is around $11-12.

What you paid is insane. :p

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 120: How do you want to die?

Just got back from day 1 of Electric Zoo, a 2 day electronic/techno music festival with over 70 artists performing. Got front row, center for main stage from 3pm-11pm (end of the day)... absolutely nuts. My ears will be ringing for the next week.

Oh, and I was drunk before 11am. It was a successful day, that I hope to one up tomorrow at day 2 of Electric Zoo.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 120: How do you want to die?

Wooo!!! long weekend for me so far. Thursday night football at GV, with a thrilling come from behind win for the Lakers. Friday night's game with Ferris at Hillsdale was bit of a dud, but I did kind of expect that. However, I was quite intertained by a guy from another MB I'm on who was going to meet me at the game when he texted me a picture of his Jag by a cornfield just outside of Jonesville where it had broken down. That was pretty intertaining to have going on. And then today, California of PA at Saginaw Valley. Decided early that I wanted Saggy to win, solely because it helps out GVSU later on come playoff time, right Diva?? ;) Anyways, I feel dirty to admit it, but I was all but actively cheering for Saggy. And I may or have not actually clapped along to the SVSU fight song. *convulsion*:p Anyways, Saginaw manages to snatch Defeat from the Jaws of Victory, as the Vulcans were able to come back to tie things up, force overtime, and then Saggy goes and misses the extra point that would have forced the second overtime.

Oh, CC to Hammer, that TE from Clinton, Drewlinksi, was there at the SVSU game. Clinton doesn't get its butt in gear soon and he might be just lucky to get an offer from Saggy. Kid has been getting a lot of attention from MAC schools as well.

I need to go grocery shopping. But I'm also really lazy.

Such a dilemma.
