Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 119: Legands of the Foopers

Got an update on my friend who fractured his skull. They removed 1/3 of his skull due to brain swelling. It's a severe head injury. They cooled his body temperature for about 5 days. He also got a tracheotomy due to a lung infection from being on a ventilator. He is now breathing on his own, and is doing much better than expected. He got a hockey helmet to wear when he's out of bed until they put the piece of his skull back. Sounds like there's still a long way to go though...

Ugh... My thoughts are definitely with him tonight. What happened?

Do they remove one-third of a person's head for severe ankle sprains or is there a special reason you included that second sentence there? :p

In all seriousness, though, best of luck to him. That's a tough go of it, that is.

So no math and now no texting. What else? ;)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 119: Legands of the Foopers

Today I get to buy a new laptop because this one is getting old and tired. I love new toys but I hate all the loading the stuff in that is on this one, backing stuff up, etc. An admin asst would be great right about now. So I am going to play hookey and sit on the deck with a cuppa and watch my birdies.
