Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 118: BoredboredboredBORED

Last I checked, no. Sorry.:)

I am focused on trying the deep fried PB & J and the classic cream puffs.

BTW, I love your idea about what I should do to the outside of where I work.

Curses......
Years ago we went to a horse show there at the Wisconsin state fairgrounds, and they had pigeons at the covered arena there. Mom was doing a halter class there when one of them decided that it would be funny go thru and bomb dive right between the ears of the horse she had there. freaked out the horse. Needless to say, we're not fond of pigeons here at all.

Morning all. Day filled with meetings today, but still have other work that needs to get done. Came in a little early to get that done. Back to it...:(

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 118: BoredboredboredBORED

Good morning.

My in-laws live about 6 blocks from the fair so gots ourselves free parking whenever (which can be often!) want to go. :) Of course the fair means summer is coming to an end. :(

I'm guessing today won't be as productive as yesterday, hopefully I'm wrong.
Ah, ok. I'm guessing the steaks did it. Sanders was the only place I could think of there where you could ring up a $50 tab without leaving hammered...
It was about $25 for the steak and ribs combo meal, $8 for an appetizer, probably $4 each for the 2 tall beers and then a healthy tip since it was on the company card. That ends up being about $50.

taking the day off so I don't stress out at work and so that I can get some extra rest in... I'm thinking about taking the train/bus trip to Dairy Queen since I haven't had that this year.

Ray's Hell Burger is very near you, and you need to find a Dairy Queen? ;)

$9 tip on a $41 bill is not a "healthy" tip. It's standard. $20 tip on a $41 bill is a "healthy" tip. :)

A 22% tip is standard?

When did we as a nation get complacent in giving shi**y service the "minimum" 10% or even the "good" rate of %15? If my waitress/waiter doesn't give a *, then neither do I. Yes, I'm well aware that base pay for service employee's is roughly one quarter of the national minimum wage, but still, I've tipped for shi**y service with subway stamps and loose change before.

I didn't realize that some schmuck who only takes my drink order, takes my meal order, and then hovers for the check when other people actually brought my drinks/food/etc. for a $100 dinner for two, taxed at 11.5% sales tax to make it $112 was worth at least $25.

I'm with Aparch, 22% is pretty healthy...

$20 on a $41 tab? I best be getting a ******* for that kind of tip.
