Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 115: What sports do you watch in the off-season?

Happy Independence Day!! Today should be as fun as yesterday, we have a BBQ on tap with some "Hosers" including tCBG and 'Ewe. :)

My trip to the races was great. I was able to find a spot in the shade where I could see two portions of the race track. (You can't see the whole track as a spectator at a road course) A really good friend of ours won the first race. (and probably irritated the entire Modfied tour as he was running in a one off ride just for this race). Mr. Hit's team finished 3rd and 4th in their race, which not as exciting, was a pretty good day for them. I got to see some friends whom I have haven't seen in a couple of years, and surprise more than a couple of people with the belly. :D

yep. We made fun of all of you. :D
All of us?? :(

Heh. Currently 70 dewpoint. Not exactly sitting outside weather. :(
High of 88 today and fairly dry here. :)

Oh we'd go HD for sure. And yes, I like the $10 range for fight nights like this, given that every one could end in a minute. Been burned too many times on boxing during the Holyfield/Tyson/Lewis days.
Ugh, I remember those days. The last fight I ever watched was the Tyson/Holyfield match. After that I lost all interest in boxing.

All of us?? :(

no Legal, you we held on some ridiculous pedestal. Since you're awesome and all. :)

Happy 4th to all of you. :)

Last night, Quiz and I went to Cherry Creek to see Opie Gone Bad. It's a local band, but is pretty respected on the scene. They played for two hours and really had the crowd going. They covered Sympathy for the Devil and I said my summer was complete.

Heading down to the park for the local 5K. Trying to crack 30:00 on this ridiculous course, which involves climbing a hill of over 300' in less then a mile...

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 115: What sports do you watch in the off-season?

Good morning Lodge and Happy 4th! Gonna be a hot one here today. And there I will be,walking all over the Esplanade at probably the hottest part of the day. Staff shirts are blue golf shirt. I will most likely be sweating as soon as I get there. One of my co-workers' husband is a state police commander and she told him that I wasn't able to get in to see the concert and he got me credentials. I'm pretty psyched about that!

Yesterday was a lazy day at the pool. It was very relaxing. At the moment I'm just watching some tennis right now. I'm not a fan of Nadal's hair.

Good Morning, Lodge!

Rush was awesome last night. I got a little sunburned at Summerfest yesterday. No big deal, just use lots of aloe vera and drink lots of water and beer.

Happy 4th of July! On a side note to that, it is also my parents' wedding anniversary.

That's prime time mosquito weather there.

It is here too, there are maybe one or two skeeters in Chisago City that didn't get me last night.

But the day was great, though a little windy for my big but to ski. :)

We'll see you there! :) I made homemade lemon/cornmeal cake (same one from Christmas) and homemade whipped cream and brought strawberries and blueberries - homemade trifle. :)

Hello, Lodgers. Quiet day yesterday. Nearly passed out and vomited after running yesterday (I guess I need more than 18 hours to recover from donating blood). :o Needless to say, I didn't feel like doing much for most of the day - luckily, soccer was on to entertain tcbg and I was able to sleep. Made grilled fajitas for dinner last night though :) with homemade guac. :)

Off to join the "Hosers" for a 4th party ... because who else would you spend the American holiday with other than people who name themselves after Canadians! :p

You know what sporting event looks great in HD?

Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest

The only way it could be better is in 3D. ;)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 115: What sports do you watch in the off-season?

Just saw this on someone's FB and almost puked (no offense 'diva)
?MSU girls are pretty,
Michigan girls are smart,
But it takes a Northern girl
To win a fellas heart.
Western girls are dirty,
Eastern girls are hoes,
But when you want a hot and smart girl,
Marquette is where to go.
Any man who reads this,
Truly has to know,
That if you have a Northern girl
Dont ever let her go?
I'm just kinda curious as to how Eastern got into that poem. They don't have hockey, or face NMU in any other sport at all,
but eh, I guess if they needed Hoes,
that would be a good place to go.

I didn't know that Scarlet was really in WV:

(304):

Always thought my first night in jail would consist of fire and a bunny suit.
Thats Hot!! :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 115: What sports do you watch in the off-season?

S'upp y'all. Took my brother up the course for some golf. We got in the weekly game and I won us some $$. Not bad.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 115: What sports do you watch in the off-season?

I got yelled at by a tourist for ringing the bell on my bike asking to pass. It's an official bike route. :)

Did you flip them off afterwards?

"Are you gonna mark me down for not flipping him off?"
