Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 114: Who gives a...

Thanks. I just pulled it or something. It'll get better. But until then, time for self medication! :D

Seriously though I'm a guy. Unless my arm is about to fall off, I'm not going to see a doctor.

Last time I pulled my back out I couldn't walk and I wished breathing was optional because everytime I did it my knees buckled. Went to the chiropractor and when he did what ever magic he does I could stand and breath. It was nice.

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!! moanin' monday is here.

I had a tablespoon of the most incredible wine yesterday and have a HA and that nasty feeling like a hang over. Every once in awhile I experiment to see if the alcohol thing is just in my head. Stupid. Shtyt. Life isn't fair.

Like anything, the more you practice the better you get at it. :D

Good morning tLodge! Got up early this morning to go for a walk with Mr. Hit and the dogs. I'll probably be passed out again by 10, but I need the exercise.

Swansong - hope your back feels better soon!

I think, however, that it is the fourth time that I bought alcohol.

Ever? You've been mooching off your friends all these years?

Morning Lodge. Not reading back 16 pages or so. Went to Indiana for a wedding last week. It was hot and muggy when it wasn't raining, thundering, hailing, etc.

Amazing wedding and reception. When the bride and groom are both professionals in musical theater, the father and uncles of the groom ( my cousins) have been professional musicians in the past, you get a very talented group putting the thing on. All the bride's maids and groomsmen have some background in music too. At the reception, the audience kind of took over the hired band at some point. My son is now going to expect every wedding to be like that so he's in for some disappointments. ;)

A weekend without electricity sucks! 2012 is gonna be horrible. At least I had running water. But, seriously, the whole ***ing weekend, no power.

9 pm Friday, got back from softball game, showered, headed to bar, part way through storm rolled in, went back to my place to park in garage (threat of hail, bf wants to sell the car)...no power. So it went out between 9 - 9:15 pm Friday.

Saturday morning call: "no estimate on when power will be restored"
Saturday afternoon call: "power should be restored between 11:30 pm..."
wT's internal voice: "***t"
automated system: "... Monday, June 21st"
wT's external voice: "***k!"
automated system: "and 1:30 am Tuesday, June 22nd"

And so it went. Saturday evening come home hope for power, no.
Sunday afternoon come home, hope for power, no.
Sunday night, come home, hope for power, no.

Got home at 7 this morning and the clock by my bed said "3" so I'm guessing my power came back at 4 am.

I haven't opened the refrigerator yet. I'm frightened.

Morning, Lodge. I'm practicing French on a lady friend of mine ;) (who's unfortunately at work, and I'm really, really bad at speaking the language anymore)

Morning Lodge,

So besides the earth cooling and the dinosaurs turning into oil what's happened in the 11 months since I've posted here?

You might want to try looking into finding a massage school in the Boston Area thats pretty good. Given Boston size, I would figure that there would have to be at least one decent one there. Offering yourself up to be a practice body for somebody would be cheaper for ya, and let you try out different stuff, different therapists. And if the school charges about what about my does for the general public, 35 for a hour isn't bad, and throw in five for a tip, far more cheaper than any other rates you'll get.
Thanks! I'll have to look into it - especially since I'm jogging these days and I could use the extra attention.
@ewe- there is a massage therepy school somewhere in NH that my massage therapist teaches at. I wonder if it is by tcbg's house.
Oooh - I'll have to look. Seeing as we'll be consolidating apartments that would be good information to have.
Watching the World Cup. It's not that interesting. When I went out food shopping, saw families wearing Brazil uniform shirts, drove by one guy that affixed the Brazilian flag to the hood of his car. While there are many ethnicities in this area, looks like there are lots of Brazilians. They also appear to be more vocal and proud as I don't see jerseys or flags of other countries. And wow, those horns are annoying.
The Brazillian population in Allston is huge. Both legal and illegal - I think there is a growing population in Somerville as well.
I wrenched my back lifting something today. To say the pain is blinding would be a bit of an understatement.
Oof. :( That sucks, dude.

Checking in from my couch - have a bunch of stuff to do today before my job interview tomorrow.

Morning, Lodge. Did I miss anything interesting this weekend?

Let me know when fall arrives. 95+ degree temperatures in the forecast all week. If you need me, I'll be somewhere air-conditioned.

Its funny... my brain doesn't want to believe its really June... but it hits me full force when I go outside. 7AM and you're already wearing the weather.
