Interesting rambling conversation last night.

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!! sunday. day of rest.

I can't believe I have to go back to work tonight. Cripes that time off went by quickly.

Happy Father's Day to all the Lodge dads!!

I feel so special now that you are insulting me again. Are you normal again? :p

Apparently they like me at work and they are prepping me to take over the department.
Good for you!! :)

Re: religion -- Down south is it much more common for people to ask you what church you go to than in other parts of the country. One of my friend's dad's, who is rather agnostic often tells people that he is a druid. It usually ends the conversation very quickly.

Howdy Lodge. And Happy Father's Day to all the Lodge dads.

Hot and muggy here today. Cloudy and sunny. Expecting thunderstorms later today. Going to my aunt's later. She and my other aunt visiting from Florida are making lobsters.

Gorgeous day here yesterday. Hot, no humidity. Went to Jenna's house, hung out in her pool, barbequed burgers and dogs and chicken wings for dinner. Nice and relaxing. Today, before I go to my aunt's house, I need to do some work. Blah. I could probably put in about 6-7 hours today, that's how much stuff I have to do. Not that I will......but I could.

Watching the World Cup. It's not that interesting. When I went out food shopping, saw families wearing Brazil uniform shirts, drove by one guy that affixed the Brazilian flag to the hood of his car. While there are many ethnicities in this area, looks like there are lots of Brazilians. They also appear to be more vocal and proud as I don't see jerseys or flags of other countries. And wow, those horns are annoying.

There was a significant and growing Brazilian population in Somerville when I still had my office there. There were two or three new stores on my block along that were Brazilian.

I just got carded when I bought a bottle of wine at the supermarket.

Actually, they only have been selling wine and beer for about two months since the new store opened, and they claimed they had to enter it into "the system". I think, however, that it is the fourth time that I bought alcohol.

Today there was a tour of my college (which is Michigan Tech and is known for being a heavy drinking school) going through my dorm. The tour group turned a corner to see a very drunk person with only a sock on his privates trying to climb the walls by putting his arms and legs on both sides of the hall while singing the Spiderman theme song. I hope this persuaded the prospective students to come here. MLIA

The system may have only recently arrived for deployment. When I was in high school, I worked retail, like oh so many others. I was hired on to open a new location and I know not all supplies arrived in time for our opening. For instance, we didn't have our loading doc security cameras for a solid month from the time we opened. Two months seems a bit long for an ID check system, though.

I wrenched my back lifting something today. To say the pain is blinding would be a bit of an understatement.
