Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 113: Whutchu talkin' about, Meyer?

Hey kids. Greetings from St. Louis. Waiting for room service.

Why is it that I always get so tired on an airplane? I tried to read but my eyes kept closing. I keep forgetting that shows are on an hour earlier in this time zone.

Low, droning sounds coupled with steady vibration.

I just meant why is it a floating head, as opposed to him being in the photo.

girl goes and takes pictures all the time... especially with sasha, she goes nearly once a month. every once in a while she takes the boys too and gets family shots.... of course she does this while i'm at work or someplace. so there are pictures everywhere of all my family members... and one of me with them from xmas maybe four years ago.

well i saw that 'new' one a couple months ago and went and found a passport photo and did was basic prehistoric photoshop on it. stuck it under the glass and put it back up on the wall. it hung there for a few weeks before anyone noticed it. :D

(my mom is like, "why didn't you cut it out better and put your head in the back like you were in the picture?")

    (everytime i see my mom, it's like we never met. she must think i'm the oldest son she never had :p )

Lemme guess...your kölsch didn't turn out.

No, the cream ale actually. It's supposed to be light and golden and crisp(ish), but it's dark and overly sweet. Kinda like Newcastle that didn't finish. No idea what happened. The kölsch turned out pretty well, though it's kind of uninteresting.

I have to imagine that anything involving cream (literally or sorta figuratively, as in a reproduction of the texture of cream) would be tough to do right.

Cream ale really isn't supposed to be "creamy" nor does it contain actual cream. It's more or less an ale version of a macro lager, but with less adjunct malt and slightly more hops. Spotted Cow is probably the best example.

Nah, nothing to do with cream, really. Just a trade name for an ale that's supposed to be pretty close to a lager in taste and consistency.
