Good morning, Lodge! Zombie talk is a great way to start the week!

I didn't see any zombies all weekend, but Clan WTW enjoyed our first camping trip of the season. Campfiring, hiking, Coors drinking, s'mores, and cigars. Then exhaustion by Sunday. A threat of T-storms Saturday night turned out to be sound and fury, signifying nothing. I got a charcoal & grease stain on my sweatshirt: out dammed spot!

Did Shakespeare ever go camping?

Morning lodge.

Watched a movie with the roomies last night, then chatted for a while. It seems like we'll get along just fine for the summer. Apparently one is a pretty big hockey fan, I was afraid to ask if she reads the site....:p

Fighting with a cylinder pressure transducer, for the 3 straight work day. This is starting to get very frusterating.

Gonna be a bumpy night, weather-wise. Line of nasty storms from west of Ft. Wayne all the way northeast to Okemos. There's a lot of yellow and red on the radar, much more that I'd care to see. My guess is that it hits between 3-4 AM here. If you're in SE Michigan tonight (read: FBG, melmac, MRG & Co.), sleep light if you can. We may have sirens to deal with.
We apparently had a rain shield up or something. HN was looking at the radar and there was rain all around us - pretty heavy stuff, I guess - and there was a little area that had no rain right over us. Crazy...

Sounds delicious!

Evening, Lodge. Had grilled chicken with an orange marmalade rub along with baked potatoes and grilled zucchini for dinner tonight. I actually feel... what's that word... full?
We had something along those same lines last night here. Roasted chicken and red potatoes, steamed broccoli, and salad. And beer. :) (Yeah... I roasted a whole chicken. I was worried it wasn't done enough; I kept checking the temp and it never did get up to 180, but it appeared to be done. I think in need a new thermometer.)

Why did so many flies suddenly appear in both buildings (mine and the cafeteria) that I have been in this morning?
Dead body hiding places and road kill on the menu, respectively?

Good morning, Lodge!

Even though it didn't start out that way, I'm apparently having a case of the Mondays and I just want to go home. Or find a new job in Ohio... but going home will be much easier to do at this point.

* Red Robin :p There's tons of better places to get burgers, even in the UP (mostly local places - I can count two in Houghton alone that beat anything Red Robin offers hands-down).

Red Robin is horrible. It's just another one of those chains that overhypes their food. You want a good burger, make it yourself. With pepperjack cheese. Mmmm. Brent and I had some burgers last summer in Colorado that were uber tasty. But you gotta use 80/20 or less. None of that 93/7 *t.

Oh, and btw, didn't get out of the sim last night until almost 4. Can you tell I'm kind of delusional right now? And if any of you add a crack to that, I'm going to cut your *king head off.

Posting from the couch with my feet up - spent the weekend at home for my brother's high school graduation. A bit exhausted from all the stress and the long hours in the car (can't believe tcbg did all the driving).

Putting together the to-do list for the week and it doesn't feature much in the way of fun. :(

Gotta love those schedulers! The only thing a man can simulate after 3 AM is consciousness. Good luck in the training!

So we've gone from hammerpunching to cutting off heads?

Eff Red Robin in the A. Overhyped, overpriced garbage. Their food does worse things to my GI tract than Taco Bell, and that is saying something.

And amen on the 80/20 or less. Lean cuts (i.e. sirloin) do not make a good burger, unless you're mixing in some fattier cuts (chuck FTW!).

The driving really isn't that bad, especially when there's so little traffic - it's mostly cruising on the highway. At that point, driving's not much different than being a passenger.

Don't forget to run today. :)

Did you drive home in that crazy weather yesterday? Hopefully you missed it. I would not have wanted to be in a car during that craziness.

Quick hi from me. I head out of here at 3pm and head to the airport. Flying to St. Louis tonight, event tomorrow, then flying to Chicago. Hoping I don't run into, or fly into (or around) any crappy weather. My boss was supposed to join me on the St. Louis portion. She had a wicked migraine yesterday, still felt like crap this morning so she cancelled out and went home.

Off to plan for a meeting. Talk to you all Wednesday night! (tho I will have my Blackberry, so maybe there will be a post from the road)

We missed it, thank goodness (I think - there was about a half an hour where I dozed off).
