Good morning Lodge. I just realized I forgot my hairbrush. And there doesn't appear to be a CVS type of store anywhere near this hotel. Crap.

Shouldn't the front desk have emergency kits (toothbrush, comb, etc)? or a little store in the hotel itself that would sell something.

Good morning lodge

Today probably won't be quite as busy as the last few have been, but its still early, so who knows. I am waiting for a new charge amp to be shipped to me before I go back to fighting with the cylinder pressure transducer. Why doesn't stuff just work?
This. Now where are they bbdl? :D
Something tells me that if I started taking pictures of them there would be unintended results that wouldn't be too pleasant. You'll have to come visit when they're around and then just use your imagination. :p

Easy. Invite us all over for movie night.

'morning all, just popping in quickly to say 'Hi' before I start the day's work around the house. I'll be back later when I get online to do my real job.

Irish bar right outside the gate to the port terminal = bad. BVery very bads. Heiniken and Guinness all night, time to sleep before going to the ruins/acropolis/stadium/other stuff tomorow.

Not seeing the bad part here...

Me either. Really, how is an Irish bar ever bad?!? ;) :p

Ever walked into one while wearing an England soccer jersey?

Related: if you're ever in Scotland, and a large, angry Scot gets in your face because you're an American, and he HATES Americans, a good diffusing response is, "Well, at least I'm not English!"

Why would anyone want to wear a soccer jersey?

I'm staying at the Ritz Carlton. The gift shop here has fancy logoed items and no sundries. I doubt the front desk would have a hairbrushm

I asked if there was anything within walking distance and they gave me the name and directions to a local drugstore. I walk all the way over there and it doesn't open till 9:30!!! Arghhh! I walk around the area to see if there is anything else. Nope. Several restaurants and two cigar stores on that same block that were open at 9am. But this store wasn't.

So saying that the Irish gave them the bagpipes over a thousand years ago and the Scots still haven't gotten the joke yet, doesn't diffuse the situation?;)

You could just cut all of your hair off, then the whole brush thing would be irrellevant. :p ;)

It's summertime in the Rockies! In The Shots' Denver neighborhood yesterday we hit a high of 96 degrees--the warmest day of the year thus far. The clouds have rolled in today and the temp has dropped into the low 60s. No complaints here. I'm heading for a glass of iced coffee. :)

Does anyone know how to do "invert selection" in this godawful new MS excel? I want to select everything but a block of about 30 cells, and there isn't an option for invert selection like in the old excel! There is also nothing about it in the help section. This new program is worthless and I'm about strangle someone. **** this, I'm going to lunch.

How would that even work if the section was in the middle of your data? Would it leave blank cells or would it shift data up.

Invert selection actually seems like a bad idea for Excel to have.

It was on the old excel. It isn't necessarily for deleting stuff, but also for formatting changes. For example, in this spreadsheet I want to get rid of all cell shading/colors from the sheet except for the block of cells. There are about 6 colors in the block of 30, since this is a pretty complex and color coded spreadsheet. I ended up giving up and just copying the section, pasting it into another sheet, made the changes to the entire original sheet, then copied the 30 cells back into the original sheet. Way too much for what I was trying to do.

Probably should of just used CTRL+ selections and SHFT+ selections to select around the data you wanted to leave in tact.

How old of Excel did you have? I don't believe that feature was in 2003. Unless you had added a VBA script to do it.

Ok, you might have me there, but really how often does that happen?!?

As far as dealing with large angry Scotsmen, I will remember your advice. :)

Probably because they're a soccer fan. There are a few of them in the world...

Probably not. :p

Or even selected everything, then deselected the 30 cells.
