Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #112: Son of "Filling in for the night shift"

That is a serious bummer!
Only kind of a bummer. When I got into the ER, the docs were able to call me back right away and I was out of there within an hour. However, I am bummed because instead of getting back to a full routine, I need to keep my arm wrapped up for another couple weeks...

Also, what do I do with bloody clothes? Throw them out? Try to dry clean them?

Bob,
I know the first thing is to soak in cold water before it sets.

GE,
Where you going to park on Wednesday? Twins face the Yanks that day plus all the attendees at your seminar will make it dicey. I could offer you a visitor's spot in our lot about 4 blocks from the Conv. Center. That or go early.

Checked with mgmt, and they are not allowing grilling on that grassy area, and no adult beverages.

But I would be up for a get-together somewhere.
Oh, that sucks. One of the things I really liked about my old apartments down here was that they had grills for the tenants to use on the grassy areas and right down on the lake. There was even a mixture of propane and charcoal grills so you could have your pick.

Soak them in cold water as soon as you can. Then try Oxy clean stain remover to get the stains out. If the cloths are too delicate to wash in the machine, you can try the dry cleaner. I just don't know if they will be able to do anything. Blood is a pain to get out. This article might help as well: http://www.ehow.com/how_2136587_remove-blood-stains-clothes.html

Hydrogen Peroxide- pour it onto the outside of the clothing where the blood soaked thru is then pour on the inside. let sit for a few minutes, then use a gentle brush to scruff the area. Rinse with cold H2O from the outside of the clothing. repeat.

Happy Monday, Lodge.

I have an urge to start re-watching Lost from the beginning tonight. Must resist.

A long weekend is in sight. Woohoo!

5 days for me. Plus a little extra, since I have to do a monthly safety inspection this week.

Thanks I think................:)

Quick little story about little gII and my "awesome" parenting skills. Last night I was cleaning up in the kitchen. Little gII was in the other room. I heard some unfamiliar sounds. Clang, clang, clang. After a few seconds the little voice in my head said "go check on little gII". I enter the room to find little gII walking towards me with a chefs knife in his mouth! He had the handle in his mouth with the sharp end facing his body. I have no idea how he got access to the knife as we keep the knives in a place the kids cannot get to. f an a that could have turned out bad............anyone want me to babysit their kids?

Pat's holds a special place in my heart, even if the reason why took another 3/4 of a year to develop, and I spent a chunk of that intervening time feeling as though I'd MNS'd or DL'd (but who knows if things would have worked out as well had I done anything different?).

Me three! Though, I suppose I didn't really get anything "done" this weekend...

Good Morning, Lodge!

At 7 this morning it was already 82 degrees. I am glad I turned on the air conditioner yesterday. Too bad I don't have AC in my car. It is too possessed to even care anymore.

Phone interview in 10 minutes for a different company than last week, then off to Houghton Thursday morning for being unemployed I sure have a lot to do between then and now

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #112: Son of "Filling in for the night shift"

Someone had lunch brought into a meeting and then left all the extra stuff out by our receptionist (that happens a lot). I took one of the big chocolate chip cookies and ate it. Now I need to get my actual lunch. I really shouldn't eat dessert before my lunch, but gosh darn it, the cookie was just sitting there!! What was I supposed to do????

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #112: Son of "Filling in for the night shift"

You did what you were supposed to do. Life can be uncertain, dear. Eat dessert first.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #112: Son of "Filling in for the night shift"

Just for the record - you both suck! :p
I'll trade you, I have absolutely no work. Had a job that was supposed to start held up by permitting, no idea if its going to go now. Was going to be a huge job for me, months in the same place now......
Got some other stuff coming up but you never get back the days you sit around and do nothing.

Spent the morning splitting fire wood so I got something done
