Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #112: Son of "Filling in for the night shift"

Good morning, Lodge; back from Hoffman Estates and back to the daily grind. Wasn't too happy yesterday when I woke up to find the scar where I had my staples removed had ruptured and left my hotel bed looking like a murder scene. Thankfully, two of my friends drove me to the nearest ER and I was able to be put back together.

Other than that, I had a great weekend with good times and great friends.
 At least you had a great time with your friends...
Thanks I think................:)

Quick little story about little gII and my "awesome" parenting skills. Last night I was cleaning up in the kitchen. Little gII was in the other room. I heard some unfamiliar sounds. Clang, clang, clang. After a few seconds the little voice in my head said "go check on little gII". I enter the room to find little gII walking towards me with a chefs knife in his mouth! He had the handle in his mouth with the sharp end facing his body. I have no idea how he got access to the knife as we keep the knives in a place the kids cannot get to. f an a that could have turned out bad............anyone want me to babysit their kids?
Holy crap! You weren't kidding about little g2 being a psycho! I agree with the pirate comment, perhaps some stripes and an eye patch are in his future...(he's a bit young to be making a wooden leg joke...)
Pat's holds a special place in my heart, even if the reason why took another 3/4 of a year to develop, and I spent a chunk of that intervening time feeling as though I'd MNS'd or DL'd (but who knows if things would have worked out as well had I done anything different?).

Me three! Though, I suppose I didn't really get anything "done" this weekend...
:)

We got plenty done this weekend, it just wasn't cleaning or packing. :o
Is that what she said? :p

I ran outside about 20 minutes ago and I wouldn't say that. It's actually really nice out. Now tomorrow? Different story. 90 degrees!!
Figures. Spending today in NH, but I'll be back in Boston tomorrow. Hopefully I'll have time to spend on the beach before my lunch meeting and class.

If he keeps letting them play with knives the eye patch won't be for fun...

85 here and HOT!!

I just did a census of all network printers at the paper mill. Outside it's 90 and the heat index is probably around 70. Inside it's well above that. I can definitely see having an extra set of clothes in my truck in the event I have to spend more time out in the mill. There are showers too, which is nice.

I think you meant that the dewpoint is around 70. The heat index is well into the 90s (heat index is not lower than the air temperature unless the relative humidity is low).

According to my weatherbug (that's what she said) the current conditions at Hollman Field are:
Temp = 92F
Dew Point = 70F
Heat index = 99F

Should I be worried that it is warmer in Minnesota than it is in NC? Current conditions here:

Temp = 71F
Dew Point = 67F
No heat index.

85 in the shade. Anecdotally humid. Just back from helping out at track practice. It was a 'bit' hot standing on the field.

The low today was 63F
Pressure 29.81"

So you're the one who actually paid extra for the bitter & bored version of Weatherbug. :p

Really Houghton? 94???!?!?!
I can't handle this.
In other news, MN is quite fkd up.

Driving home at about 9PM last night, we dealt with many hours of chain lightning, slight fog, pouring rain, and thunder that shook the car/road/everything.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #112: Son of "Filling in for the night shift"

We're not even in the hot months yet, so you better get used to it. :p

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #112: Son of "Filling in for the night shift"

Hi Lodge.

Went to Indiana.
Worked.
Had a few beverages.
Flew home.
Got a new computer at work.

The DT's hiring, and I'm ready to leave Shopko.
Match made in heaven.

I better be your new favorite waitress, fools!!

93 here and still hot!

'ewe, yes, yes I did have a great time with my friends. So much that I want to go back to Chi-town later this summer if I have the time!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #112: Son of "Filling in for the night shift"

Sup Lodge.

Anyone know of where I'd go to get practice with a manual transmission? Some of the Jeeps I'm looking at have a stick, and I've never actually fully used one myself. I'm familiar with how it works, just need somewhere to actually practice with it without destroying anybody's transmission (or car) in the process.
