There has been music playing all afternoon, but we couldn't figure out where it was. It certainly wasn't a neighbor's house, and the sound wasn't coming from the Fairgrounds. We finally figured out it's from the Ivies at Bowdoin College. This year the festival is at Whittier Field...which is in the middle of the woods 1.48 miles away (I measured :p) That must be friggin' loud.

You're right near Brunswick? I've got some relatives in Brunswick and scattered around the coast in that area. Small world.

this ikea bookcase is frustrating... trying to line up these little wooden pegs nearly blind and then muscling them in... woof.

Carol's isn't bad. It's probably the best breakfast place up here, especially since it isn't a Perkins. It's close to the NSC, but ... it will be crowded, prepare to wait.

Meh. The kid wanted to go to Perkins with the rest of the team so we did that (should have sent him with another family and gone to Carol's). This is not the USA cup, but it's still a * big tourney. Everywhere was packed. :(

Graduated, that is all.
Congrats, PB!

Good Morning, Lodge!

Pancake Day has arrived!!

I was there at 6am. The pancakes were awesome! Got coffee spilled on me by the mayor, and saw people that I haven't seen in a very long time. Got home and went back to sleep. Those pancakes absorb the beer very well. :)
Yay for pancakes! Boo work!

Good Night, Lodge!

Another Pancake Day is in the books. I love the first Saturday of May. Only Racine, Wisconsin, natives get it. My husband does not and probably will not understand it. I have not been to it in 5 years. I did miss it.

Buzz post. Just got back from this - a friend of ours organizes it. Gotta love it when the boss volunteers to drive.

Morning, kids. Nope, not good night, good MORNING.

That's the last time I crash out early to get a good night's sleep. Now I'm up earlier and still tired.

Good morning, Lodge. Just about time to get ready for work...

Major water main break here in eastern Mass. I need to boil water to drink and wash dishes. Of everything I've read, nothing mentions laundry. Not sure what I should do there. Need to go food shopping this morning and I bet there will be no bottled water. Some supermarkets ran out last night, and apparently there was some fighting in the stores. Heh. I need to buy paper coffee cups, dishes and silverware so I don't need to wash any dishes. They've said they hope this will only last days instead of weeks.

It's supposed to be 90 today!

We have plenty of clean water here in MN - you're welcome to fly out and use it if things get really bad out east.

If you wash your clothes in that water, don't eat the clothes. Or you could wash them in bottled water. ;)

"Masters of the Universe" is on. I guess I can say the day is now complete.
