Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #109: It's the Offseason, now what?

G'day Loj. It's "take your brat to work day" here in the office. Ugh. If the idea of taking my kid to work is ever presented by me, someone please slap me with a hot skillet.

Done. For. The. Year.

Oh, wait. Gotta go on a ship to Europe for 90 days again. Oh well, home tomorrow for a week and a half. I know I got a 98 on my electronic navigation final, which should give me an 'A' there, I know I have another 'A' in 2 other classes, hopefully an A- in one, and a B+ in my last class with some luck. Should be a pretty good GPA for this semester.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #109: It's the Offseason, now what?

You've gotta go sailing around Europe for 3 months? Oh poor you.

This ain't no pleasure cruise, yo.;)

Sure, once we get to port it's a good time and a lot of fun, but it's the getting there where we actually have to work and be students that isn't too much fun, especially since we're paying ~6 g-bills to do it.

I love brats. What kind ya got? Hot 'n spicy? Cheddar cheese? Are ya cookin' em in that skillet or grilling them? Got any extras? Didja bring enough for the whole class? Well, didja?:D

Again, poor effing you. :p ;)

Afternoon, Lodge. Despite having frost on the car this morning, today is beautiful - if only I didn't have more papers to write. :o

Afternoon lodge! To celebrate the end of the semester, and finally being done with everything, one of my project teams is getting together for a few drinks tonight.

Other good news - I will likely be starting off my graduate career on the right note. By my estimate, I should have final grades in all three of my classes between 3.2 and 3.5. :)

Here too.

Here three! One of my co-workers had her two young sons in and I was walking by her office as she was walking in and she yells "Off the computer boys!! I need it to do work!!!" Heh.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #109: It's the Offseason, now what?

did they give a reason?!?

She thinks it's too far to transport food from Revere to Brookline. She did say last night's meal was "VERY GOOD", so that's at least reassuring. I even mentioned that I'd be traveling from Revere to Brookline every day (probably going to take classes at BC, if I can come up with the $$, for the summer. Sad to say, but they're straight As in my book right now).

I suppose that is the advantage to working from home, no kids to bring to work. I have taken Mini-legal to work with me but it was only to check in for an hour before heading into the city for a parade. It was never for a full day.

I could throw the brats on the skillet, but I fear there'd be too many witnesses. ;)

Just so I remember correctly, Mini-legal is your son, but the Sun is your daughter? That one always threw me for a loop.

Yes, The Sun is my daughter. When she was a teen-ager she had to be the Center of our Solar System (if not the entire Universe). So my ex nicknamed her The Sun. She has gotten quite a bit less self-centered, but the nickname has stuck. :o

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #109: It's the Offseason, now what?

Man, I can't even start to keep up with the lodge these days!
Well, prolly cos you only show up once in awhile....:p
I'm here everyday and can't stay current! :(

Done. For. The. Year.
Congrats!

You slacker! :p

Is that because she's not a teenager anymore? Just wondering if there's hope for mine...

Yes, they eventually start to grow out of it. I think it took me until my mid-20's to fully grow out of that attitude, but it did happen.
