Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #109: It's the Offseason, now what?
Letting the cop get too far ahead of you only means that he'll have a chance to pull off and get set for you when you blow by him.
Probably your best bet here Mandy. At least try to figure out one that you had a perticular class with, and talk to that one about it. Fake it a little, All the school is going to see is the big block M on the letter anyways, and skim the reading of it.
Yep. At least stay a respectable distance from their rear bumper. Nothing close, but eh, you at least know where the cop is and you're not going to get pulled over there unless you pull your .38 out and start busting caps off.Morning lodge
Effing state trooper got on the freeway right in front of me. I was hoping someone wouldn't notice and pass him, thus taking him off the road. Nope. 70 MPH all the way to my exit. It's not like I'm trying to break the speed of sound, but I drive a nice straight stretch on my way to work and 75-80 MPH is "the flow". At least I had the balls to stay with him. At one point I looked in my rear view and all the other vehicles were about a half mile behind us, all jammed up.

Same here.Working for other people sucks anyway. If I didn't have to eat I would have given up on the whole being and doing what other people expect thing a long time ago.

I do know a guy who teaches in the History department at Michigan, used to keep his horses here at my place.Hi Lodge.
Work has been dull and unmotivating for awhile so I'm once again playing around looking at grad schools. I think I found the program for me but dislike the need for 3 letters of recommendation in the application. One needs to come from a professor or someone familiar with my undergrad work. Ummm.....it's been 5 years. I think I can only remember one professor's name, and I don't know if she'd remember mine. I went to a huge school, understood stuff and didn't do things like go to office hours or ask questions in class. How am I supposed to get a letter of recommendation from a prof?
To be honest, I would just try politely asking. At a larger school like Michigan, they might understand and simply write you a general one, particularly since it has been five years. I was able to get one of my academic letters of rec from a prof who remembered me even though I had only taken one of her classes, and it was back when I was a sophomore.
