Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #109: It's the Offseason, now what?

Morning, Lodge.

GE: That's pretty cool. Why'd you decide on Hamline - proximity, quality of their program, or something else?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #109: It's the Offseason, now what?

Considering how crappy they have been, you might be able to get a ticket for less than face value...

Doesn't matter. The Patriots Day game is very similar to Opening Day. People plan for it, especially if they have the day off. It's quite the party atmosphere given that the marathon runs through Kenmore Sq as the game let's out. Now, if they still played those early April weekday games, and I took the day off, then I could probably get a face value or less ticket.

Thanks.

All of the above, Hamline has an outstanding education program (Handy's in it now, BTW), the school is in my neighborhood so I could (should!) walk to class, I got my MA in management there so the application process was easy and qualifies me for a discount, and after attending info sessions at The U, UST, & St. Mary's I felt most comfortable at HU.

Decided to go back when I was looking for a job here at mother mining & my future here was looking bleak. Even though I found something permanent I decided to go back because 1) I've always wanted to teach, 2) one never knows their corporate future, & 3) if I do survive several more years I would love to take early retirement, or buyout if the timing is right, and teach for 10-15 years.

Good morning.

- While I miss kid hockey I don't miss spring hockey. Have fun goldy. :)

- Went to a fundraiser dinner/auction Saturday for my son's school, catered by the St. Paul Grill. Dam good and we picked up a $100 Ruth's Chris steakhouse gift card for $75.

- Went to an 8th grader parent party at one of my daughter's classmate's home on Friday night. The house is one block off Summit, the 'eagles are definately on the wrong side of the tracks.

- Have a meeting with my advisor at Hamline this afternoon. Still going back to school this fall to start my teaching license & M. Ed.

Congrats for the going to school thing. No room in the schedule here for spring hockey! Between Lax and school Track He is going 6 days a week. The weird thing- nothing on Saturdays right now:D

Oh, I was able to get 4 tickets for Tuesday night for face, unfortunately because of work I can't go. So MNS has the tickets now. Have fun guys, since I'm pretty sure it is going to be MNS, Sloe, Bakunin and Brent going to the game. Tickets were $32 each, if you guys decide to pay me. ;) :p
Right now it's me, Bakunin, and a friend of mine. Sloe Gin can't make it anymore so now I'm trying to find someone else on short notice...

Hey lodge, good day to be working from home as half the roads in Boston and the suburbs are closed for the Marathon...

Oatmeal is baked?
Yep. And it's actually pretty good...

Good morning Lodge. No work today - yay! It was nice to sleep in with no alarm. Need to eat and then go food shopping.
I need to shop for groceries as well. Lunch is coming up and I have no idea what I want...

Montreal's defense has been weak throughout the series. Montreal doesn't have the scoring to try and skate up and down with Washington and win a 4-3,5-4, high-scoring games. In winning even one game the team has done better than I expected. Halak stole that one.

Who's your team and how's it doing so far?
I could score on Jimmy Howard right now.

Good Morning Lodge!

Just sitting here drinking coffee and transferring documents from the old computer, now my husband's, to the new computer.

Have a good week!

Someone should hammerpunch Sloe Gin, him coming was the reason we bought the tickets! :p

Ask Shirtless Guy, he might be interested in going.

We're doing spring hockey strictly as available. Kid missed a game last night and will miss one Tuesday for traveling soccer practice and clinic. He was miffed 'cause playing hockey is more fun than practicing soccer. I told him he wanted to play traveling soccer and that's his priority now. During hockey season he only did soccer events as they fit in, same now going the other way.

It's lunch and I still don't have my office clean from last week.

At least you have a little more breathing room this week, don't you? You'll get to it.

Congrats on going back to school!

Happy Patriot's Day all! :) Yeah, we don't celebrate it in the South either, so I will be starting work shortly. And I just talked to The Sun (my daughter), apparently she is the only person in the city of Boston actually at work today.
