Good morning Lodge. No work today - yay! It was nice to sleep in with no alarm. Need to eat and then go food shopping.

Morning Lodge.

Had a meaningless spring league peewee hockey game Saturday night. One of our coaches got tossed. Weird game. I was working the clock, penalty clock didn't work and there was parade of kids going to the box. Running time clock and I had to keep track of it all in my head. We had two kids get CFB - 2 and 10. The opposing coach was yelling across the penalty boxes at our coaches about the play. And the odd thing is, I didn't think it was very physical. One of our guys did a legit CFB and deserved the 2 and 10. We took a bunch of Interference calls that looked to me like the guy checked had the puck (that's why our coach got tossed, he yelled at the ref than kept asking him "where was the puck?"). Our other CFB was the kid being checked turning and bending over at the last second. We won 9-3. At least 2 shorties.

Went to the middle school musical Saturday afternoon and it was not awful. It was "Susical the Musical," basically Dr. Suess' "Horton Hears a Who" as a musical. The kid playing Horton stunk (flat, no range) the kid playing second lead, Jojo, was one of my kid's buddies and he was great. The two female leads were great too. A number of other kids who are friends of my kid had parts and did well. It was way better than I thought it would be.

Good morning.

- While I miss kid hockey I don't miss spring hockey. Have fun goldy. :)

- Went to a fundraiser dinner/auction Saturday for my son's school, catered by the St. Paul Grill. Dam good and we picked up a $100 Ruth's Chris steakhouse gift card for $75.

- Went to an 8th grader parent party at one of my daughter's classmate's home on Friday night. The house is one block off Summit, the 'eagles are definately on the wrong side of the tracks.

- Have a meeting with my advisor at Hamline this afternoon. Still going back to school this fall to start my teaching license & M. Ed.

11am is too early for a baseball game. :p Not to mention that getting a ticket is probably out of the question.
The whole 'not being able to get tickets for the baseball game' thing sucks. Never had that problem here, until now. When we went downtown for the game Friday night, we knew tickets would be crazy expensive, so we were going to wait until after the game started and hope that we could get some tickets for face value after the scalpers were scared they wouldn't be able to get rid of the tickets. Didn't work.

About 30 minutes before first pitch we walked from the plaza over to Kieran's Pub for drinks, asked scalpers how much, $100 each. Uhhh, no thanks. So we proceeded on to Kieran's, drank until right about first pitch, went back outside to try to get tickets. All the scalpers had left were singles, still $100-$125 each. So we said eff-it and went to Smalley's alley to watch the game. About mid-way through the second inning we walked from Smalley's over to Huberts for food (deep fried Lucy :D ), ran into a scalper on our way, he had 2 tickets, he still wanted $100 each for them, IT WAS THE SECOND INNING! We had fun without actually going to the game, but the game would have been better.

Oh, I was able to get 4 tickets for Tuesday night for face, unfortunately because of work I can't go. So MNS has the tickets now. Have fun guys, since I'm pretty sure it is going to be MNS, Sloe, Bakunin and Brent going to the game. Tickets were $32 each, if you guys decide to pay me. ;) :p

Considering how crappy they have been, you might be able to get a ticket for less than face value...

Did you ask him what it was like to run Enron?

Good morning, partiers!

Had a good weekend, took the tribe out to Cripple Creek, CO where we got snowed upon. The Irish pub/eatery I chose looked like a decent place driving by, but when we got inside it was just part of a larger casino. So, I corrupted my young children with the smell of cigarettes and the ever-ringing bells of the slot machines. They had $2 20-oz. draft beers, though (not my kids - the restaurant).

And now begins the week!

....Dan Boyle corrals the puck deep in the corner...he turns, he rifles a wicked backhander, he scores!! Dan Boyle with the game winning goal in the first minute of OT!

For the Avs!:D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #109: It's the Offseason, now what?

That's right. I am not an Avs fan. I'm poking fun at Dan Boyle. And congratulations on having a good memory. :)

So, how about that Habs stiff third period defense? :D ;)

Montreal's defense has been weak throughout the series. Montreal doesn't have the scoring to try and skate up and down with Washington and win a 4-3,5-4, high-scoring games. In winning even one game the team has done better than I expected. Halak stole that one.

Who's your team and how's it doing so far?
