Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #109: It's the Offseason, now what?

i worked in a cherry canning factory for a couple of summers. mind numbing. 12 hours shifts, but the pay was pretty good. talk about druggies. the supervisor was strung out of cocaine. breaks were for smoking dope. I have no idea what the line women were one. something coma inducing. I have a "good" job : testing the cherries as they came off the line. at least I got to walk around and then do the lab tests. tested them for size, hardness and sugar content. yeah. for real. :)

Wow. My HD job sucked, but it was far better than THAT. I somehow managed to spent 22 summers in TC and never once worked cherries. My parents had all kinds of fun stories from working picking cherries when they were growing up, though.

'Morning, Lodge. I ran 5 miles yesterday, and my ankles are feeling it today.

Good afternoon tLodge! It's sunny and warm here. I'll be spending my afternoon watching my friends play volleyball. The game gets a little too rough for me to be able to play. (don't need to get hit in the tummy right now). But it's a great day to watch! Plus I need to do a little shopping and the stores I need to go to are right near my friend's house.

Have a great afternoon!

Yup... I always like to watch people figuring out how to get a computer projector to work on my Sundays

Working on it.

In other news, I just found out a family friend's son is going to be a dad any second now... (haven't seen him since last May, just found him on Facebook and found out there.) Apparently, Baby Momma is a real winner.
Oh, we need to set her up with my cousin's baby daddy. Loser got her preggers, then after he had dumped her he stated someone else when Jen found out she was preggers. Idiot then went to the hospital two days after the birth, signed the birth certificate, and then has yet to come and see the baby since then. And is also challenging the paturnity of the baby. Jen's humoring him with offering to do it. But the Idiot won't take a half hour to go get the DNA sample taken. And if he keeps screwing around, the Court is probably going to about double the child support he needs to pay her.

More reasoning why people should have licences to be able to use their reproducive organs to breed.

Sounds like the last place I worked at. I was overqualified to be there, but really only got in because they were in the process of expanding a shift, along with insitituding a new Drug Policy there. I pretty much got in because I could pass the pee test. Several of the guys there told me stories about how they would pass joints down the line, and the guy at the end there had to take care of the roaches.

Back from U15 Lax in the cold and wind. Haven't even seen who is on the team before today.

Lil scored. That was exciting- First goal ever in Lax, played all last year with no luck. They lost but it was still fun to watch. The camera is way more friendly outside. Thought my pics would be horrid but couldn't tell in the viewfinder- light was too bright. One of the guys said 'it will be like Christmas when you see what you've got'. It was. Hardly any bad ones! Light was amazing!
