Wow. My HD job sucked, but it was far better than THAT.
I somehow managed to spent 22 summers in TC and never once worked cherries. My parents had all kinds of fun stories from working picking cherries when they were growing up, though.

i worked in a cherry canning factory for a couple of summers. mind numbing. 12 hours shifts, but the pay was pretty good. talk about druggies. the supervisor was strung out of cocaine. breaks were for smoking dope. I have no idea what the line women were one. something coma inducing. I have a "good" job : testing the cherries as they came off the line. at least I got to walk around and then do the lab tests. tested them for size, hardness and sugar content. yeah. for real.![]()
