Hockey has been over for a month. :(

Oh, you mean the NHL. :) Yes, the Rangers just couldn't do it. :(

'Morning, Lodge. Back to school today. Two more weeks of long-term subbing, then back to regular subbing.

I'm being further considered for an Air Traffic Control Specialist position in North Dakota!!!!!!!

First step is scheduling an interview. :)
Hope things work out!

@les -   Happy to hear it's out though and that you're on the road to recovery? You weren't having pain there prior? (Though sounds like you guys eat pretty healthy - maybe not enough fatty foods to trigger it?)

Also - potential job opportunity for me! :) I've been posting on Craigslist about once a month advertising my skills as a personal chef (thank you, les, for the encouragement) and I finally heard back from a family in Brookline. They want me to cook mostly vegetarian (they eat fish and turkey) meals three times a week. I have an "audition" for them in 2 weeks (week of the 19th). Very, very excited - though I'm definitely going to have to enlarge my vegetarian repertoire. Maybe it'll even get me to eat healthier!?
Everyone in my family thinks this is crazy because I eat so healthy except that in the last yr with Lil being in so many things our diet isn't as good. Probably better than most but not great for what we used to do. Last week with gnache, lemon tart, lamb, broccoli casserole etc my system was probably quivering is shock- at least my GB was.
Good for you with the personal chef thing. Great opportunity.

I am not allowed to lift or do anything. DO you know how many dandelions are in the yard when you are not allowed to weed?

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!! moanin' monday is here.

Was this in the Pre-nup agreement? :D

Gallbladder agreement. I am going nuts. Mr procrastinates. I get up and hit the ground running. Laundry that should of been done this weekend just went in this AM. Everything sort of sits there. Worse I sit there looking at it because I am not supposed to do any of it. It is a recipe to drive me nuts.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #108: Let's see if we can finish this before the Frozen Four.

Good Morning.

Brent: I don't know why you'd doubt me, I was at work at 6:50 this morning. I was tired enough that I fell asleep at about 7 and woke up at 6.

Interesting weekend. Golfed very poorly. Drank at brents. Played cards with some girls that claimed to be in college (though I think by college, they actually meant Minnetonka High School) at Perkins at 4AM and slept.
Haha I work there too and was actually sitting next to the guy who was calling you. I was hoping you wouldve messed around with him. Shirtless Guy was funny when he got called. The Darkness and Huskynation never answer their phones when I call them.
I haven't given the school my phone number, they don't get to ask me for money until I have enough to give them. :p

@Bob - :( Sorry to hear about your mom.

@MNS - AWESOME! Good luck!

Just checking in. Long weekend, but a good one. Made mini-amaretto cheesecakes, and boxed chocolate cake with homemade chocolate ganache. Spent yesterday doing that and then headed over to tcbg/legal's brother's place for a birthday party for their mom (and FFFF "festivities"). We missed the first period of the game, but watched the rest (and chatted), weren't that into it.

Spent today at The 24 Bowl for the Travis Roy Foundation. Got to meet Travis and spent about 45 minutes talking hockey with him. Great perspective and incredibly articulate. Definitely a hero in my book. Got to hear him give an amazingly moving speech at the end of the fundraiser. The "tournament" met its goal of $24,000 dollars, and my thanks to any of the posters who contributed to tcbg or his team (you can still do so - the link is in his sig).

Quiet evening - watched Live Free or Die Hard with tcbg over dinner and am getting ready for another week of classes.

Also - potential job opportunity for me! :) I've been posting on Craigslist about once a month advertising my skills as a personal chef (thank you, les, for the encouragement) and I finally heard back from a family in Brookline. Thanks 'ewe! As for the vegetarian menu, there's plenty of good recipes out there; check out Mark Bittman's How to Cook Everything Vegetarian. Good luck to you!

G'morning, Lodge! Speaking of eating vegetarian, making ratatouille and egg noodles tonight for dinner with some crusty French bread and a glass of wine.

Poor les, having to deal with these people:

A lesson I learned in the hospital....when you masturbate while attached to a heart monitor, it scares the nurses a lot.

Eff that noise - I've been looking forward to working again for half a year, and we're finally starting the season today.

Morning, Lodge. Good luck to your mom, Bob, and on your recovery, les. Also, congrats on the new job, 'ewe!

home sick from work... the maintenance guy came in and fixed the thermostat with a button push... i need to ask which thing to press on there (its on the back of the thermostat which appears to be like one of those old circuit boards) because I blame that one issue for being sick right now and not at work.

You do realize that you get a cold from a virus, not from being exposed to a certain temperature, right?
