Kyle Bangen finally wises up and shoots everyone full of bull semen...

I'm pretty sure you don't want to take that out of context.

Back from bike riding.

Every year it gets harder to get back in shape. :(

you could be like me... work out for 2 years in a gym on a regular basis and still be a shapeless blob like thing. :p :( *kicks puppy*

Today is good so far other than being slightly under the weather... had a Caps fan snarl at me... "down boy"

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #108: Let's see if we can finish this before the Frozen Four.

I think I'm onto my third cold of the year already... this one was preventable but complicated. My air conditioner unit's thermostat has frozen up so have no gauge of temp and doesn't auto-shutoff when it otherwise would. So, if the thermostat didn't such I wouldn't have this cold. I needed the AC on because it was too warm to sleep so all week I got a string of 6 hr nights with a fan in my face... now I've slept below an AC unit before and not had problems... meh. That and I probably shouldn't have gone out Friday night... but its hard not to do that when you're trying to get out there.

So, 7 months, 3 colds... 2 of them preventable... blah.

There are Cap fans? I've only met Ovechkin fans. :)

I found that if you have a goal, that you might not reach it. But if you don't have one, then you are never disappointed. And I gotta tell ya... it feels phenomenal.

heh... good point. :p

I think they get led in by Ovechkin and then realize that EVERYBODY else is doing it they decide well Valamov, Semin, Laich, etc. are OK too. If you are a sports fan trying to look cool you don't want to be that guy (yes, I know I own a Bergeron jersey... I'm not trying to look cool).

I will say... they are a bandwagon lot but they do come out in force. Watching some of the local stuff here... I like the way they (Lenosis and staff) are handling the other matters around the team. Then again, the Bruins have always taken their fanbase for granted and don't know how to reach out and get them to interact. Probably because they assume (too much) that they will remain fourth behind the Sox, Pats, and Celtics.

The Caps seem to want to anchor themselves as a part of the community. I will say this, I haven't been to a Bruins game since Ray Bourque's last game so I don't know what Bruins game day is like but I know what they do on NESN. I know NESN is owned by the Red Sox but I think in general the Bruins could do much better at interaction.

Pre-Pre-Season #1!
Would that make St. Clooud the Pre-pre-season number 26?? ;) Or does Union get that coveted spot??

Mark, you should know as well as anybody here that Engineers can't Spell. ;) :D

Are you getting bumped and rattled out of your bones yet? ;)

yes we did.. that road, and I84 in NY, are easily the worst ever as far as smoothness goes.

hell, all NY roads.

i never would have guessed that detroit-boston is only an 11.5 hr ride (not cutting through CA). (that includes stopping for gas and diaper changes three times  630a - 600p)

Haven't been on 84 much, only from I-87 to the Taconic Parkway. All I know is that I-95 in the NYC area is REALLLY bad (worse than I-90). I-81 isn't too bad until you get to PA, I-87 is also pretty nice.

If you didn't drink so much you wouldn't need your diaper changed so often. :p Why would anyone go through California to get to Detroit?

And so begins the looooong college hockey off-season. I hope everyone had a good weekend. I hope your upcoming week goes well and that spring has arrived in your part of the world. Looks like we'll be having some high 60 degree to low seventy degree days here in Denver this week. I may need to get my golf clubs and try to play nine or eighteen later this week.

And now for a Sunday dinner of homemade chicken tortilla soup. Freshly sliced oranges for dessert. Bon appetit!:)

Hi Lodge. Back from Detroit. Another year over. *sigh* Acceptance has set in.

So, last night post game I met my friend Sean who did the play by play on radio for all the games this weekend. Cap Raeder was the color guy. They usually go out to dinner after the championship game and I've met up with them in previous years. I go to Greektown to meet them last night and see two others at the table. One was the Westwood One producer guy. The other - Barry Melrose. Heh.

So, is his hair real? :p

I've heard some stories about Barry since my friend works at the ESPN campus so that must have been interesting :)
