Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 107: Now What??

Evening, Lodge. Felt good to get out of the house tonight... however, my mom called when I was out, and now I have to bury another one of my cats. RIP Devon... at least you got to spend your last couple years in a home, rather than a shelter.

:( Sorry to hear that, Bob.

she'll get hers. Don't worry.

Got an e-mail for one of the jobs I applied for; they filled the position internally. :(

:(

Very nice descriptive word there.

Thanks. I have to credit 'Bando on that one, she's the first one I can remember using it.

'Morning, Lodge. It's going to be almost 70 here today. Throw in that Spring Break starts tomorrow at 3, and I think I'm in for an interesting day at GHS today.

Stay safe and dry, East Coast Lodge Members. :(

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 107: Now What??

Sorry to hear about your cat Bob. :(

Rain has stopped here in town, just kind of a drizzle now. Sky looks like it's trying to brighten. It's a real mess up here. Some major highways have been shut down, schools are closed. I hope the weather does become as nice as they're predicting.

Something is going on with the lights here. They must be working on them somewhere on the floor. Certain banks of them keep turning on and off. Annoying!!

On my way to a department meeting. My manager got this Red Sox gnome that is kind of like our department mascot. The person who does an OK job that week gets to keep it for a week. Kinda like a recognition, morale booster thing. We have to name it today. Last week someone came up with Gnomar. I think nothing can top that. Any other recommendations?

Gnomar is a pretty awesome name. :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 107: Now What??

I am completely on the fence. Sometimes I like one more than the other, and vice versa. Depends on my mood.

I'm required by St. Paul By-laws to . . . what is it? . . . "to represent". So let me say the version at The Groveland Tap is a fine one.

Yeah, that's pretty good. Terry Fran-gnoma? Hideo Gno-mo? No, you've got a winner already. (For an extra-obscure Sox reference, how about "Gno, Gno, Gnanette"? :D )

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 107: Now What??

Good morning, back from Tropical Grand Forks, it was everything I thought it would be. :) As we reached the top of the University Ave. bridge over the Coulee (?) the tour guide congratulated us "for conquering the highest peak on campus." :D

Nicest day in 6-7 months here is Capital City....I should have called in sick. ;)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 107: Now What??

Sorry about your cat Bob.

Sorry to hear about the job SG.

Sorry about the flooding 'ewe.

Any other bad news I missed? I hope things turn around for everyone.

I finally settled on a name for my pup: Camden. Her picture is here (for those who haven't seen the facebook pics)

Now I just need to make her an orange bandana with "Camden" embroidered on it. I think she'll look good in orange. (Unfortunately I wasn't having much luck finding an actual Orioles bandana).

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 107: Now What??

Thanks!

Thinking... thinking... nope, not going to work. :p
Well at least you considered it

I enjoy seeing the alums when they play for/against the Chicago Wolves. And if they're wearing opponents colors, they love seeing the Green And Gold in the crowd and having someone recognize them. Dusty and Waugh on Manitoba were ecstatic to see some familiar faces, they "don't even get recognized that well at home."
Go Wolves!

I just read that the boston folk have seen 13+ inches of rain this month. We're not too far behind at 11+ in the NYC area. Ridiculous month, hopefully there isn't any flooding that affects you guys seriously, stay high and dry.
I talked to my parents on sunday, apparently a bridge washed out near there house and tons of roads were closed, major roads too. All over the south Shore of Mass.

Apartment is flooded again. I'm too numb to even be upset. :( I had semi-prepared (gotten some stuff off the floor), but not everything. Luckily, computer was totally unplugged. :(
That sucks.

That also sucks.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 107: Now What??

Hammer - :p Thanks, I needed a laugh.

BPH - I definitely don't have the time or money to break the lease and find a new place. School is in full swing and I'll be overloading this summer in order to finish with my requirements by September. I'm hoping that I might be able to extend the least (it's up july 31st) for about a month so that I don't have to move in the middle of summer school...plus I haven't made a decision about where I'd move since PA school could start in either May or September of 2011. It's one huge headache that I can't cope with today.

On the plus side, it's stopped raining, hopefully that means they can start pumping the water out of my apartment. I've notified my professors that it is unlikely that I'll be in class tomorrow (1 posts all her lecture notes online and the other, ... we'll see, I haven't heard back yet), so that I can spend the day there tomorrow airing it out (supposed to be sunny and 70 tomorrow). I'd do it later in the week, but I leave tomorrow night for Baltimore for 4 days (spending Easter with the McDowell side of the family).

Not gonna lie, moving in the Boston area is a pain in the arse. We helped my sister move out there for grad school, and it very definitely sucked, so I can totally understand why you don't want to move. Hopefully your apartment doesn't have any future problems because of the flooding!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 107: Now What??

Drive by post from Green Bay.
Was on the road at about 5:30 this morning, heading back to MSP at about 5. Long day for me. :p
