Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 107: Now What??

ctf, since you want to go into Motorsports management, do you have any suggestions for my bf who needs to find sponsorship money so he can race this season?

Stupid dirty playing d-bag beat him by forcing contact last year so he was unable to win professional (paid for) ride in the Playboy MX-5 series this year.
Summit Racing! I buy all of my parts/accessories from them, when possible. The only thing is, I'm not sure if they carry much stuff for Mazda, so they wouldn't be inclined to sponsor. But I do know that they sponsor alot of race teams.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 107: Now What??

hey Scarlet, I'm going to a Greek Orthodox wedding in May. I'm actually an usher for it. Advice on how to handle myself in the Greek church?

Be patient. Hopefully you'll get a priest who does most of it in English. It's actually a beautiful service so it would be nice to understand what the priest says. It's not as long as everyone seems to think Greek weddings are. Trust me, I've been to weddings with a nuptial mass that just as long, if not longer. Depending when in May it is, it may be before Pentecost (50 days after Easter), in which case they will be chanting Christos Anesti (Christ is Risen) more than once. This is the hymm sung for the resurrection. It gets thrown into every service after Easter until Pentecost. No one gets communion except for the bride and groom. Depending on your role, you may be asked to hold a candle. The service is broken up into two parts: a) the betrothal, which is when they exchange the rings and b) the wedding, where crowns are placed on the bride's and groom's heads and are left on for the rest of the service.

I always tell people that when a Greek wedding is over, you know[/] you're married.

Think Greek. ;)

I'm hoping you are talking about fraternity life here, otherwise you've just insulted me.

This day is crazy busy. And I jsut got an email about a Friends of Hockey board meeting tonight. I don't like getting same day meeting notices. It's a drag. Thankfully it's not next Tuesday though, as that's the night before I leave for the FF and I'll need to finish packing.

My mind is so in the gutter when I read that as brothel. I'd think that would be more appropriate before the wedding day.

There is no way in hell I'm googling a website for a Fooper strip club at work. :p
Sunshine, you have a Blackberry for a reason.

sure. Are you up for kicking in some investment money into this bar? Since some of us are actually serious about opening up a property?
Uhhh.. give me a year or so at Wells Fargo.

Your welcome. And as far as transferring... do it!! Seriously, the move is a little scary at first (I moved down here alone as well) but it's easier to do while you're young and in school.
I'll definitely take your advice into consideration. :)

Check your FB in about 20 minutes.

Good luck, ctf.
Thanks :)

Hey, where's Uncle Ray? Can I get a large size Margarita! from the lodge bar? Just heard that it's official that the two best juniors for NMU are turning pro.

Goddammit. :(

ROLL TIDE!!!!

dammmit! wrong southeastern US state!

I just hope the exposure that michigan gained from being on tv and the revenue it gets from being in the post season helps the athletic department. Hopefully the athletic department will get some additional monies to pay for hockey helmets that can be finished painting versus the "let's save a buck and only paint half the helmets deal". I'm not sure what other programs the instituition has or what the finances look like but maybe they can all chip in and help them out. ;)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 107: Now What??

Soooo, just got word that I'm officially an RA for next year. Rollin in that cash moneyyyyyyy. /ghetto.

On a serious note though, this means not only do I get $1500 from the school (750/semester), but my parents have said they will throw me some extra money since this will come out to about 40k I will have saved them out of a total of 70k for schooling. This. Is. Awesome.
