Gonzo, Thanks for the rep. Have fun at the games tomorrow. I hope you get to see some good hockey.
Denver has a few injury worries. Second line left winger--Anthony Maiani--broke an index finger last weekend. He won't play this weekend and is unlikely to play even if Denver advances past this weekend.
Second line center--Jesse Martin--suffered an undisclosed injury in Tuesday's practice and that news was just disclosed in the Denver Post this morning. Martin is listed as questionable. Ya gotta love coaches at this time of year: they won't say a word about what the specific nature of an injury is. [Jesse Martin? Do we have a Jesse Martin on our roster? Never heard of him.

Defenseman Chris Nutini may return to the lineup tomorrow. George Gwozdecky dressed a lineup of seven defensemen and eleven forwards many times this year. He may do so tomorrow [and beyond] depending on the availability of Martin and Nutini. I also think it's possible he'll dress eighteen skaters and essentially play three lines and six defensemen while only playing the tenth-eleventh-twelfth forwards a shift or two each period.
I'm a WCHA fan all the way. If Denver doesn't advance to the Frozen Four I root for whatever WCHA team or teams do
or teams that will be entering and owning the WCHA next season. The WCHA had a five year run of winning the NCAA title a few years ago, but it has been three straight years since the conference won the tournament. Time to stop that slide this year.
GO PIONEERS!
