Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 106: My Team I Do Deeply Dig

I wish I knew somebody named Guido..............

I don't know many Italians, but I could hook you up with some really cool bikers that will do nearly anything for a keg of beer :)

ETA- And that's how I used my 6000th post

I hate the UP. I was like hey, I'll be good with flip flops and sweats today, I've worn shorts the past couple of days.
No, it's 17 degrees.

Its called the Midwest :)

Its like people in the Cities saying how weather in Duluth sucks. Hello! Its Minnesota! Its going to suck everywhere.

I will keep that in mind. ;)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 106: My Team I Do Deeply Dig

Wacky in-laws acting up again? ;)

No. Work related. Gonzo will know what I mean.

FWIW I am done wasting energy on the inlaws. Mrs. g and myself are on the same page and that's all that matters to me.

Speaking of Guido and bikers there has got to be one on every corner in your neck of the woods..........;)

We have lots of bikers wearing their spandex and riding $2,000 road bicycles. Closest thing to an enforcer I see around here is Ben Hankinson. :D

They called. No one answered.

Gonzo, Thanks for the rep. Have fun at the games tomorrow. I hope you get to see some good hockey.

Denver has a few injury worries. Second line left winger--Anthony Maiani--broke an index finger last weekend. He won't play this weekend and is unlikely to play even if Denver advances past this weekend.

Second line center--Jesse Martin--suffered an undisclosed injury in Tuesday's practice and that news was just disclosed in the Denver Post this morning. Martin is listed as questionable. Ya gotta love coaches at this time of year: they won't say a word about what the specific nature of an injury is. [Jesse Martin? Do we have a Jesse Martin on our roster? Never heard of him.:D]

Defenseman Chris Nutini may return to the lineup tomorrow. George Gwozdecky dressed a lineup of seven defensemen and eleven forwards many times this year. He may do so tomorrow [and beyond] depending on the availability of Martin and Nutini. I also think it's possible he'll dress eighteen skaters and essentially play three lines and six defensemen while only playing the tenth-eleventh-twelfth forwards a shift or two each period.

I'm a WCHA fan all the way. If Denver doesn't advance to the Frozen Four I root for whatever WCHA team or teams do. The WCHA had a five year run of winning the NCAA title a few years ago, but it has been three straight years since the conference won the tournament. Time to stop that slide this year. GO PIONEERS!:)

The bikers I'm referring to DON'T wear spandex. They do like hockey though :)

Don't know how familiar you or other MN poster are with the western suburbs, but I live very close to a little town called Hamel (my mom's side of the family was an original settler of the area). There's a little bar in Hamel called Incahoots, which is a pure biker bar. I have some friends that ride and once in a while they'll call me to meet them there, which is usually an interesting experience. I'd be reluctant to go there without knowing someone though :o
