we were 30 minutes away from pulling the trigger on buying a house. All we had to do was say yes. We didn't and ultimately I'm glad. I hope this works out for you man. :)

We did that, too, only I'd call collect. My parents would simply refuse the call.

We had them in the 70s. (small-town Indiana) You kids today don't know what it's like! We had to share the phone line with everyone on our block! If you wanted to call someone, and you picked up the dang phone, and Mrs. Nethercutt from three houses down was blabbing away with one of her friends, well you just had to wait!

So I had my cable and internet set up, and as part of a package deal, I get a land line as well. I don't even really want a land line (I'm happy with my cell phone,) but they have to install it as part of the package.

The appointment to install the land line was set for today at 5 PM.

It's now 8:45, the cable company is closed, and I can't get a hold of any one.

Thanks for wasting my evening, GCI Cable of Anchorage.

Paging bigmrg74: The Cinderella run for St. Joe's is over. Cal Poly just *crushed* them last night. 69 to 48, and it wasn't that close. Oh well. A memorable year.

(Did I see that St. Cloud State is in the final 8? They play hoops up there? :D )

Talked to the realtor again late last night, he read over the signed offer again and found some interesting stuff, that I didn't understand, that leads him to believe that we are sitting pretty good right now. But I'm still going to assume that I'm not getting the house, so I don't get too disappointed.
