Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 106: My Team I Do Deeply Dig

Sorry to hear that shot. :(

I heard back from my realtor/godfather after work. My offer on the house I want has been accepted by the owners. Now it goes on to the bank to see if they will accept it. So the bank now has my offer and another one that we are 99% sure is lower than mine. Still far from over, but this is definitely a step in the right direction! Keeping my fingers crossed!

Good luck!!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 106: My Team I Do Deeply Dig

Sorry to hear the sad news, ASaaG! You guys will be in my thoughts.

Hi Lodge. Tired, and annoyed with having this darn cold that won't go away. Been busy with work, and researching schools that are far away from here. That's about all I've got.

Hope everyone is doing well. :)

Bob: I know the Chicago Marathon individual entries are closed, but they're still accepting runners on behalf of Charity:

May be something to think about if you still want to run the Chicago Marathon.

Yep. Les, and any Extras know about the issues I've dealt with regarding my mother. She has no problem driving five and a half hours to see her boyfriend's daughter, but the extra hour to see me isn't worth the time.
I've decided to run Detroit instead; it's less of a burden financially right now.

hey Lodge...I got nothing
Hey.

An absolutely terrible day began when the phone rang a few minutes before eight o'clock. The news was that one of my wife's closest friends suffered a heart attack late Sunday night and was found dead yesterday afternoon. Our friend lived alone and that accounts for the time lag between the heart attack and the discovery of the body. We've been told an autopsy is going to be performed.

My wife is devastated and I'm doing all I can to console her. If you have room on your prayer list for my wife I'd appreciate your putting her on it for the next several days. Thank you.
Prayers your way.

Evening, Lodge. I cleaned out a freezer today! Beyond that, I also don't have anything...

That's it. Facebook gets one more chance and then I'm off it.

Why wouldn't you either de-friend your mom or place her under a "limited profile" restriction (I believe you can even set it so that she can see everything, but can't write on your wall or respond to comments)? I realize that this might create an initial shítstorm initially, but at least it would be in private, and off facebook. ... Just a thought.

Shot, very sorry for your wife's loss. :(

BBDL, Good Luck!

Went and had acupuncture tonight to try and reduce the pain from my shoulder. Will go back tomorrow too. Hope it works. I'd really like to sleep through a night without waking from the shoulder pain. :(

Trying to decide if I'm going to my high school's 40th reunion this summer. It's being held ~1.5 miles from my house so I can't use excess travel as an excuse. Will likely depend on if some of the friends I still see are going.

Hi tLodge, highlight of my day, buying 10 bags of mulch for the flower beds.

Just kidding...(well, I did buy the mulch, but that's not the highlight of my day)

The best part of my day is that found out that I can move back to Connecticut and take my job with me! :)

Yep, I got sick of my dad writing on walls/commenting on stuff, so I put him on restricted. He probably doesn't even realize it, as he hasn't asked me why he can't do the things he used to be able to do.

Sorry to hear of the bad news, Shot. You and your family are in my thoughts.

It's April 17th.

Are you interested in going to the Matt Brown fundraiser by any chance? It's April 30th at Gillette Stadium.

TPIWWP. ;)

Evening, Lodge. I had a job interview today at another museum in our system - hopefully it works out for me, but I have tough competition. If nothing else, I'm going to start at the Fort again in a couple weeks (and would split my hours there if I get the other job), so I'll have income besides unemployment insurance. :o

Also, I apparently have a Joe Mauer haircut. :D

Joe Mauer is awesome! :D

So after doing some research, going back to school is going to cost me a hefty amount of money that I'm not sure I have. And the weird thing is, the cheapest (or so it claims) school is in California, the farthest away of the ones I'm looking at.
