Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 106: My Team I Do Deeply Dig

It has been a beautiful day here. I spent my afternoon waxing the truck, polishing chrome, etc. I always look forward to when it gets nice in the spring so I can wax and polish, the truck looks so disgusting in the winter, now it looks like it came straight off the dealer's lot. 11,000 miles, still no dents, only a couple chips, and one scratch (that I think I can deal with with some deep cut rubbing compound).

I have a must-see picture of Mr. Brenthoven, that I will get posted somewhere on the boards at some point, hopefully soon, as long as he doesn't mind. :D

Twins signed Baby Jesus to an 8 year deal. Today is a very good day.

There's a chance nmu_27 and I will be making an appearance in St. Paul this weekend. I should know for sure by tomorrow or Tuesday. I'd love to meet up with some more posters if you're going to be there!

Mine needs a wax job really bad. Once I get through April 15th and it stops raining in April I'll do that. I've had the truck close to 4 years and I haven't waxed it yet. It's got a few nicks, but a 7 year old truck with 80K is going to have that.

And also lost Joe Nathan for the season.
I'd resigned to that fact more than a week ago. :(
Whenever you hear about elbow problems it never ends up well, so as soon as I heard about it, I just expected for him to be done for the season.

I'll be around, haven't decided if I'll go to the games or not. Kind of depends on if I can get tickets for dirt cheap and if anything else comes up for the weekend.

This is the first time I've waxed mine, in about 1 year 10 months, but it was in storage for about 10 months last year when I was cruisin' in my Jeep. I will probably wax it once every 6 months now.

Any pics from Gasthof's are not only approved, but I encourage people to post them. :)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 106: My Team I Do Deeply Dig

The nerve of some people! You should sit at home feeling miserable! And be in the kitchen, preparing a meal for your husband! And when is your mom going to be a grandma?!

:p

Oh JESUS... let's not even open that can of worms. I'm still not sure they're OK with me dating Flashy.

Hi, Lodge--back in the UP. And, no, I'm not making the return trip. :( There's no way I can take Friday off because it's the end of the marking period and I have to have grades done before I leave that day.

I've had enough of the X for a while. ;)

As for the regional there, go Vermont! Certain NMU fans burned some bridges when they decided to wear a Sioux jersey this weekend. I won't name any names, though. The shame they should feel after doing that is quite enough. ;)

Just because some of us can handle our booze.......:p

Reminds me, I have to screen-cap a bunch of pics from the Wild's site. Many people from here made the Fan Pics section.

Yeah, yeah. I'm a sell out.
I want to see those pics. I have a card for one of them somewhere...

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 106: My Team I Do Deeply Dig

And I'm failing at the screencaps on the Wild site. :( It's just not working for me.

If one is motivated enough, they can go to wild.com/truefans and then look up the date/game, and I know there's pics:

Mar 19, UND/DU: Galleries 10, 16, and 23.

I think there's one or two from Mar 20 (UND/SCSU), but don't know the gallery.

There's some in Gallery 10.
Techie Boy is working on it. There's a great shot of SG, FM, Dirty, GLM, and me that I want.

Edit: This one.

Ok, I'm working on it now. I only have 3-4 pictures from Gasthof's, I think it was Give me an S...... that has more of them, but I might be mistaken.

If there are any NMU fans that are making the trip, contact me, I'm considering going to the regional championship game, if they make it. Wouldn't mind having some others to go with.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 106: My Team I Do Deeply Dig

I'm trying to think of any good stories from the weekend that need to be told....anyone else that was around have any suggestions?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 106: My Team I Do Deeply Dig

NMU makes the dance...and who do they pull?

None other than Team 0-Fer-The-Tourney.

Let's go refs! Let's go refs! etc. ;)

I don't want the building to collapse, since I like the Xcel...

Bus collision! *clap clap clapclapclap* Bus collision! *clap clap clapclapclap*
Surprised you're not cheering for a meteor...

Especially if you have one of the Meterwurst. Saw it on Man vs. Food, and it doesn't seem like TV would do it justice...

Evening, Lodge. Speaking of eating healthy, the only thing I want to see in front of me is a mammoth-sized sandwich, preferably served with pretzels, a kosher dill pickle, and a cold draft beer right about now...

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 106: My Team I Do Deeply Dig

TCBG and I kept an eye out for you when we were on the concourse (there are excellent sundaes at the Garden!). I also enjoyed last night's game. (Not nearly as much as I would have if my team had made a game of it the night before, but *shrug*), but it was a really great hockey game to watch (even though I dislike both teams). :)

We just watched the Selection Show (delayed it so we could have lunch and laundry). We'll be going to Bill's Bar in New Hampshire so we can watch tons of the NCAA Tournament. I <3 this bar since they even have tvs in the bathroom!!
I was in loge 1 and not in my real seats. I pretty much planted myself because the seats were awesome, the people I was sitting with were friendly and seemed to know hockey, not yapping about stupid calls, etc- didn't know any of them but they were really nice (except BC nutbag who was behind me on Saturday wailing all night about how the refs were rigged.). Lil was roaming a bit but he wasn't wearing his usual UML hat.
Most definitely. They were out in full force yesterday in Boston.
I was one of them.

Where were you sitting?

Same question for you. I was looking for the two of you at the game. I left after the 2nd period Friday and went home. That's the 3rd time in four years I've had to do that. :( Sorry I missed you guys afterwards. Where did you get the sundaes?? And agreed - last night's game was great to watch. *sigh* I knew BU was not going to advance but I would have felt much better if our last game was like Maine's. Full of heart and fire but just not enough. Instead we got crap. :(

Loge 1 2nd row down from the club seats. I was supposed to be in row 5- great view of the back of the team jerseys. He was supposed to be over in 22 or something but ended up sitting in 1 too.

I was in 22! Small world. I only sat there for a period, though. Moved up to the balcony for the second.
