Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 106: My Team I Do Deeply Dig

Just back from Boston. Missed the chance to see everyone- no intertube access except for a reallly short stint. Figured out it is sometimes more fun watching without a team in the dance. Lots of excellent people watching. Some seriously deranged people.

Scarlet- sat next to an older gent who is a BU friend- forgot to get his name. Really nice guy. very knowledgeable and very nice to lil. His wife is sick but I don't know what with.

Where were you sitting?

TCBG and I kept an eye out for you when we were on the concourse (there are excellent sundaes at the Garden!). I also enjoyed last night's game. (Not nearly as much as I would have if my team had made a game of it the night before, but *shrug*), but it was a really great hockey game to watch (even though I dislike both teams). :)

We just watched the Selection Show (delayed it so we could have lunch and laundry). We'll be going to Bill's Bar in New Hampshire so we can watch tons of the NCAA Tournament. I <3 this bar since they even have tvs in the bathroom!!

Same question for you. I was looking for the two of you at the game. I left after the 2nd period Friday and went home. That's the 3rd time in four years I've had to do that. :( Sorry I missed you guys afterwards. Where did you get the sundaes?? And agreed - last night's game was great to watch. *sigh* I knew BU was not going to advance but I would have felt much better if our last game was like Maine's. Full of heart and fire but just not enough. Instead we got crap. :(

Hello Lodge.

Another fun Final 5 in the books, but it just wasn't the same without the Gophers there, and I think even the Bucky and Sioux fans agree with that.

I've missed way too much to read back. :p

2nd row behind the goal that had Millan twice. The game was pretty dismal. We were in a section that was largely Maine fans (though a large chunk of the arena was Mainer-s!!). There is an ice cream stand in the Garden (in the loge, around section 5? 6? 7?). The servings are gigantic. TCBG and I split one last night after ordering individual ones on Friday night. We didn't stay long at Sully's post-game on Friday (the game ended so late and we had to make the T), but did say "hello" to Jenna and the others. Tough end to our season, but at least it'll be a low-stress tournament.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 106: My Team I Do Deeply Dig

sccc? Are you feeling ok? ;)

I have been meaning to ask you..........How is operation chicken going?

They're the only MN team in the west regional, and nearly all of my coworkers are going to be talking smack to me anyway, so I'll go with them.

The chickens **sigh**

Well, if you'll recall as soon as the snow covered the ground they wouldn't set foot outside. In essence, they decided 8'x8' would be better than 2.5 acres to roam. I was cleaning that nasty coop weekly. Now they're raring to go outside, but the yard is still so wet they'd tear it up for sure. The other point to that is soon the gardens will be emerging and they'd eat the sprouts as they come up. So they'll stay in the coop and run. They at least quadrupled they're space now that the snow melted. I throw scratch in the run and they seem happy enough. They may get a couple hours of free ranging in a month or so, when everything's mostly dry and I've fenced off the gardens. Still getting at least a dozen eggs a day. :)

NMU makes the dance...and who do they pull?

None other than Team 0-Fer-The-Tourney.

:o

(seriously - I don't think WI is as strong an opponent as they appear, and Vermont doesn't appear that strong either, so I'm betting that either St. Cloud or Northern will come out of that regional)

I was free of worry and consternation, too. I knew bid would would happen. I was just curious as to where the boys would go. It turns out that it's not that bad of a trip. :)

It wouldn't bother me to see SCSU do well. I can't say I will lower myself to cheer for them but some success wouldn't bother me. ;)
Good luck, dogs.

Watching The Battle of Comm. Ave on the NHL network. I feel like I should get someone a beer. ;)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 106: My Team I Do Deeply Dig

Forgot to add that I'll be rooting while in attendance.

Who's headed to the X next weekend?

I've had enough of the X for a while. ;)

As for the regional there, go Vermont! Certain NMU fans burned some bridges when they decided to wear a Sioux jersey this weekend. I won't name any names, though. The shame they should feel after doing that is quite enough. ;)

Afternoon, Lodge. I'm starting to feel slightly less like I got run over by the light rail. :o

Final Five = amazing fun, except for the actual hockey games. :p Though, the final was a pretty decent one. Got about eleventy billion requests for the Huskies Pep Band to come back too.

And Gasthof's... we shall speak no more of that night. :o

Just because some of us can handle our booze.......:p

Reminds me, I have to screen-cap a bunch of pics from the Wild's site. Many people from here made the Fan Pics section.

With one exception. Mr. Shot is fair game. It's even in tLodge bylaws. ;)
Ok, that makes sense. :p

I agree, it's a lot easier to just enjoy the hockey when you don't really have a stake in who wins. I had a blast when I went to Columbus for the FF, because the outcomes of the games just didn't matter, to pretty much anyone we were hanging with. In our group, we represented fans of five or six different schools that all went to, and lost in, the regionals. :o
