Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 106: My Team I Do Deeply Dig

Hello Lodge.

Another fun Final 5 in the books, but it just wasn't the same without the Gophers there, and I think even the Bucky and Sioux fans agree with that.

I've missed way too much to read back. :p
Yeah, did some skimming here myself. Haven't been online since Thursday. I've been busy. :D

With a surprise appearance by Molly.
The only way that could have been better would have been somehow getting Michigan in that regional. :D

Ok, that makes sense. :p

I agree, it's a lot easier to just enjoy the hockey when you don't really have a stake in who wins. I had a blast when I went to Columbus for the FF, because the outcomes of the games just didn't matter, to pretty much anyone we were hanging with. In our group, we represented fans of five or six different schools that all went to, and lost in, the regionals. :o
Yeah, True that. I did kinda feel for Hammer Saturday there when Ferris lost in OT, But then I remembered that I'm an arrogant GVSU fan who hate's Ferris so it really didn't bug me that much. ;) Still a pity that they couldn't have done more against Miami. As for the NMU-Michigan game, I would have liked to have seen NMU win it. It would be nice for the other schools to get a banner to raise every once in a while, something to hang their hats on.

Uggh!!!! This weekend was Rough. Class Friday, Saturday, Sunday, bright and early at 9am. But we got our first taste of Myofascial release, which seems to be fun, and with my big meathooks, I could be really good at. But adding on top of that running down to the Joe for hockey and then back home to crash, well, lets just say I'm glad that the CCHA doesn't do the Super 6 format anymore. I don't think I would have been up for a hockey game tonight.

And we also got to do psoas releases today as well. They've been telling us about this technique and we've all been wanting to try it out. Pretty cool to do it, and it was **** near a religious experience to experience it being done on me. The Psoas muscle runs from the front of your lumbar spine to your leg, and to reach it, you go in slowly thru the lower stomach. I kinda lucky that my partner for that was a little asian woman who just couldn't get thru my abs, and had to have one of the instructors show her how to do it on me. About jumped 3 feet in the air when she hit the first one, but wow, what a feeling after I got of the table and walked around, takes some getting use to, like I had just gotten longer legs. :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 106: My Team I Do Deeply Dig

nothing like a nothing done weekend... that isn't true... I ordered some pants and I whipped through Michael Lewis's new book on the market crash.

I can read fast when i want to read... I just usually don't want to read... I have to stop reading those books though. Parts of me go "I'm smarter than all those idiots"... and even though that's quite possibly true its not a world for me and you really have to see everything to find the hook needed to be successful. Then again, the idea of making insane-o money is always alluring.

I cleaned up some of my apartment... basic systemic issues remain before it looks nice... almost got my laundry completed before the end of the weekend... that ain't happening. Time to start another week again. Ready for Friday as always.

My neck is sore enough that I could almost go for a massage from you. Almost. :p

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 106: My Team I Do Deeply Dig

I'm trying to think of any good stories from the weekend that need to be told....anyone else that was around have any suggestions?

My mind kind of goes blank trying to think of just one. This is because of one of two reasons, or both:

1.) Too many to choose from
2.) Drunk

I can think of one, but there's also:

3.) Public indecency

And bigmrg74: my neck isn't that thin. :p

Surrounding the WI girl that GLM was talking to, and doing "Jesus Hates Wisconsin" was pretty good.

On a personal note, the looks on the UND fans' faces were priceless:

One guy asked me, "Hey, where are the Gophers?" and I said, "Hey, where's Chay?"

and even a better one:

UND fan, couple rows behind me: "Gophers?! F* THE GOPHERS!"
Me: Don't you have a house to sandbag? Go home.

I got those comments a couple of times, not as much as I thought I would. Mostly just got the stink-eye. There were plenty that came up and shook my hand for wearing the Gopher gear though, instead of just wearing a Wild jersey or something.

Most of the time, the UND fans were okay. There were only a couple of the usual dooshes that wanted to be all tough.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 106: My Team I Do Deeply Dig

I still haven't heard back on the offer I submitted for a house a week ago. There was another offer submitted the day before me, after the house had been on the market for 6 months, they got 2 offers in 2 days. I would imagine that the first offer was below list price, since the house had been on the market for so long. Knowing this, I bid $10,000 higher than list. (I really want this house) As of now, neither offer has been accepted, I have to think they'll accept mine soon, but its a short sale, so it is a huge cluster**** by nature. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed.

Did I mention that the house I'm bidding on is about a mile from Pov's? ;)

I think I know the payment method for the USCHO Moving Company. :D
Didn't you hear the story from after we left Gastof's about "only a mile from Pov's"? :p

But I actually am pretty close up there, probably a little more than a mile though.

Ah, I did, but missed the reference. It's been a long weekend. :o
