Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 105: 2010 Assessment

It's definitely playoff hockey weather here in Denver. Driving home from the gym after my afternoon workout, under cloudless skies the temperature hit a bone-numbing seventy-two degrees.

And it's gonna drop to 30 tomorrow and snow :p

Meanwhile, it's sunny and 35 here in Anchorage.

Nope, 66 tomorrow, then on Friday the cold air mass arrives. Breck is forecast to receive 8-18 inches of snow tonight. Should be some powder skiing for The Shots this weekend.

Lil likes the beer?:D
:p

Just found out that there is "some" water in my apartment and that something that was plugged in shorted out the entire house, causing my landlord to go in and see what is up. :( :( :( He called to say that he took out the rugs (the entire apartment has tile floor so I have some cheap area rugs) and is "replacing a few power cords"...I don't know what that means, but now Friday seriously can't get here fast enough!!! :( Luckily tcbg is going to the apartment tomorrow, but I dread what he's going to find!

Serious bummer! They showed Reveeyah beach in the news coverage but they didn't mention any flooding in houses- only the sand all over the road.

Just use your savings to invest in our bar idea. Then the money will roll in.
I haven't got anything to invest in this venture but if you put an empty jar on the bar I'll toss in my loose change whenver I pass through! :D

Making cottage pie for dinner because no one here will eat the cabbage, cornbeef, or anything else traditional

I was glad to discover if you call potato pancakes "boxty" then you can say you're having something Irish. :D

New England has been getting pounded

(Ewe, you're dealing with some heavy issues, so I'll throw you this childish note in the hopes of generating a little levity) So how long has "New England" been in town? :D :)

You know you need live music in a good bar, right? ::cough cough::

Thanks, I needed that. (I'm returning to N. England on Friday and looking forward to it. :p )

And to continue with the awesome streak, someone hit my car in the grocery store parking lot and didn't leave a note. The damage isn't bad, but it's just one more thing to deal with. I'm very over spring break and just can't wait to curl up on the couch with tcbg. I'm done. :(

Oh wow, that sucks. :( I was wondering if you were going to have someone check on your place. The flooding here was kinda bad. The D line is closed out by Riverside because the tracks are underwater. I hope you haven't had too much damage. It's good that your landlord checked up on your place and contacted you.

Are you going to be curled up on the couch watching the HE tournament on Friday? :)

Thank goodness. He checked because the breakers are in the store room next to my apartment and something must have flipped them in my apartment when the water came in and the electricity in the entire house went out. It just sounds like a mess.

Of course not. I will be dealing with this in the mature responsible (hockey fan) sort of way. I'm driving back to Boston on Friday morning (assuming I don't get hit by a bus between now and then) and plan to get to my place about 1-2pm. Unpack the car, relax, then return the car (rented near MGH) and head to the Garden (or the bar and then the Garden depending on the time) with the Hosers and then to wherever for a few (read: many) beers.
