Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 105: 2010 Assessment

I have paid off my mortgage. :) Too bad that the condo fee has long ago become greater than the mortgage payment. :(

I moved into my unit on the day that the US beat Finland for the Olympic Championship and closed on it a couple of weeks later. (I had to vacate the unit that I had been renting so that it could be renovated.)

Now I can correctly fill in my census form. :D
RFAlph! Congrats! That is an awesome achievement! I just got a 15 year mortgage, and hope to join your exalted ranks some day. I read somewhere that most Americans spend only 4.5 years in a house before moving again, and so the paid-for mortgage is becoming more rare.

As ever, you rock.

Back from dentist, and now at work. I suppose I probably did have a cavity, now my mouth is numb.

And for the first time ever, I remembered to wear a green shirt on St. Patty's day. Unfortunately it is the only one I have, besides the Bemidji jersey, so I won't be wearing a green shirt tonight.

I've got some red potatoes, carrots, pearl onions, a big brisket, and cabbage in the crock pot at home. Can't wait 'til the work day is done and I can dig in. :) No Smithwick's for me, though... gave up drinking for Lent.
Tonight, we feast!

Ceid meile failte!

It's the weekend for me. :D

And I think it's a great day for a Guinness. :D
Great day for a Guinness, Smithwick's, Harp, Boddington, Bushmill's, etc...

Sláinte chuig na fír, agus go mairfidh na mna go deo!
Grant me a sense of humor, Lord,
the saving grace to see a joke,
To win some happiness from life,
And pass it on to other folks.

Good morning, Lodge!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 105: 2010 Assessment

I started St. Patty's Day early last night with a Guinness at the Red show. It was 6 pm....so it was St Patty's Day in parts of Europe already.

Last night was awesome. Went to The Arena (bar in AA with amazing wings) to listen to the Red show (Michigan hockey radio show). Got free tickets for Friday's CCHA games while at the show. Then went to the Cupcake Station for dessert and found out it's buy one get one free all week. So, instead of us all saving money, we each enjoyed a cupcake there and got one to go. That has helped today start out well as a mocha cupcake for breakfast is AWESOME!

Off to watch me daughter Irish dance in downtown Saint Paul. They sell Guinness & Jameson in the Landmark Center during the Irish Dance & Music Society event.....booya!

Tappa....tappa....tappa... ;)

Morning Lodge. Went to breakfast at a fancy country club and got our award for our project along with a free breakfast (with BACON!). Met a number of old friends there who are now with other firms.

Good Morning lodge

I would have replied to all of these yesterday, but yesterday afternoon was "one of those days".
I find out that I need to have a minor surgery performed in a couple of weeks, nothing serious at all, so no need for concern.
I stopped at SA on my home from the Dr. and when I come out my truck wont start. Turns out I need a starter (2008, 33,000 miles w t f ?). Towed to the dealer, where they gave me a stripped down 2010 Silverado, but whatever. They call back and mention tranny lines leaking, oil pan has a slight leak, and one of my modules is out on my onboard computer. All under warranty, but again w t f?
Now I'm pis sed.

Did you get you one o them govmint trucks? Was it built on a Friday?

Finally get home around six (left work at noon), pour a guinness, sit down and my universal remote has a "Configuration Corrupt - access website" message. Now I'm pis sed.

Just one of those days! :o
Gonzo, I hope you don't get transported into "Groundhog Day" mode. Better luck today. :)

Why are you repeating yourself? ;)

Morning, Lodge. I'm not the least bit Irish as far as I know, but my paper vaguely includes St. Patrick so maybe I'll have a drink to his memory.

CC to Brent: Can I get cash (or a check :p ) from you tonight or tomorrow night for Grand Forks hotel and tickets? I need to fund my fun time this weekend. :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 105: 2010 Assessment

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Stupid work, I can't celebrate tonight. :(

For some reason I thought it was from mom, but it makes more sense that it came from you. Either way, he loves it and wears it a lot.
That's good to know! When I saw it I thought it was custom made for him, but you never know. :)

Woo hoo! Congrats on paying off the mortgage!

Enjoy!

'Morning, Lodge. Just saw Yager on the morning news (they were showing highlights from the Tech women's basketball game from yesterday). Not necessarily the best way to start my morning... :p
Think of it this way Diva. Next week, NMU could very well have a invite to the NCAA Ice hockey Tournement, while the MTU women's BB team will be in Missery. ;)

Why are you repeating yourself? ;)

You went to school at MTU. Since when do you NEED an Excuse to drink?? ;)
