Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 104: Back To Normal Sports

I just flipped someone from green to red for the first time -- feels very powerful. :) (Apparently the reason the BU Championship Team didn't get to visit the White House is the same reason that the President did not attend the Olympics, black people don't like hockey...  )

And when I took it at face value and ran with it, he was like, "Umm, I think you missed my point. I was referring to the current occupant of the White HousBLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH." What a putz.

(Good job nuking him, Ewe, by the way. )

I mentioned in the Tech thread: You think I ain't?????

:D
Your addiction to the UP is rather sad. We may need an intervention before it rages out of control and you end up having to go to rehab.

1. It's a place where you (pretty much whoever you are) are truly better than the locals.

2. Cheap drink, cheap tickets, cheap food.

3. Guaranteed (for the most part) win(s).

4. It's better than North Dakota AND Wisconsin.

5. You truly are away from it all in the UP.

I think it's worth it.

Cheap drinks? Wash.
Ugly women? Wash.
Scenery? Houghton wins. And that's sad. Very sad.
Trip? North Dakota wins, by default. You're further away from WI.
A-Holes? Houghton wins. Who the heck thinks highly of themselves there?

2-1, Houghton. Mind you, I'm still not saying it's good. It is just better than the alternatives for close travel destinations. MN is an Eden Island.

Clearly, you have a problem with the UP. The Commie is right, you need to get you help before you become a full blown Fooper!!! ;)

See my retort to MNS. Sometimes a man has to venture into hell, and see what his character really is.

Wash for women? Not a chance....we have women, and our standards are that of the rest of the world.

Even the Harlem Globetrotters lose every once in a while. ;)

If UNH does win it all in Detroit, I'll buy you two drinks (other friends just get one), or some asian porn, or something. :)

Bwahahahahaha. Standards? Maybe. You have women, I notice you didn't say hot women. Freud lives!
You guys should come to a game at UNH someday.

I don't need to go there to know I'm better than them.
2. Cheap drink, cheap tickets, cheap food.
Games on a 42" plasma > games in Houghton.
3. Guaranteed (for the most part) win(s).
The drive is a guaranteed loss, though.
4. It's better than North Dakota AND Wisconsin.
False choices here - you are implying the only options are to travel to north dakota, wisconsin, or the UP. Staying in the cities trumps them all.
5. You truly are away from it all in the UP.
This implies that anyone would WANT to get away from civilization to go to hell on earth. Sane people don't want to do that.
I think it's worth it.
See above.
