A benefit of not being on AcPro? ;)

lol funny story I was on AcPro twice in my time here. 1st time was my sophomore year when I ****ed up royally. 2nd time was I screwed up a final in one class and it took my semester grade below a 2.0. Ya Summer classes which saved my ***

Denver needs a total of four points in its final four WCHA regular season games to clinch first place in the regular season standings. Given its recent history on the road against Mankato, Denver is unlikely to garner those four points this weekend.

In the 2003-2004 and 2004-2005 seasons DU won back-to-back national titles. The Pioneers had little success on the road against the Mavs. In what for Denver fans remains an "infamous" game, during the first of the two aforementioned seasons the Pioneers took a 7-1 lead against Mankato before losing the game 8-7. It didn't get much better season as Denver dropped an 8-5 decision on the road against the Mavs. Denver went 0-1-1 the first year and 1-1-0 the following year against Mankato on the road.

Just as there are venues in which teams and/or individual athletes play well, so too, there are venues in which they play badly. In recent seasons Denver has struggled mightily versus Mankato on the road.

I'm sure there are Denver fans who'd prefer seeing the Pioneers earn two points this weekend in Mankato and then return home next Friday night to beat arch-rival Colorado College, thereby clinching the regular season title.

Had my Psych test this morning (and I think psychology is for the birds, just for the records - what a bunch of horse hockey :p ). I think I did okay, I'll be curious to see how I did once she posts the answer key this afternoon (she doesn't give back the exams, but instead hands out a sheet for everyone to transfer their answers onto and then check against the posted answer key. You can then go to Office Hours and see the exam questions).

Did my homework in stats on regression, which caused me to regress to about 5 years old and stomp my feet. I'm not quite sure I understand what the problems were asking. I'll be asking a few questions in class today.

Going to Sprint after school to see what they have in store for phone upgrades. I'm wondering if I remind them that I've been a loyal (and on-time paying) customer for 5 years that that might get me some sort of discount on the phone? I found 2 that I like, but I object to forking over 100$ for it... :o Regardless, it's time to start looking since mine doesn't seem to want to charge much any more (it's the connection between the phone and the plug.

Off to see Avatar in IMAX and 3-D tonight, I think. Didn't get to see tcbg this weekend, so we're going on a date tonight instead.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 103: The Greatest Rep... to this point.

Braces sucked the first time for me, I can't imagine going through it again. :(

I had them twice. And when I went for the consultation for that second time, the orthodontist told me that my bite was off and would result in my overbite coming back again and the one thing that would correct that was to have surgery. So, the braces went on in July to get my teeth into position and that January I had surgery on my lower jaw. They broke it, slid it forward so my bite would be aligned, and I was wired shut for 8 1/2 weeks.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 103: The Greatest Rep... to this point.

I never had braces. :D

I was told that I could get them, but there wasn't a big need for it, since I have 2 teeth that are crooked, and they're not hurting anything and they aren't noticable we decided it wasn't worth it.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 103: The Greatest Rep... to this point.

Yeah, I had them in fourth grade. Then, when I outgrew my retainer, my orthodontist didn't want to make a new one until I lost all of my teeth. Well, I didn't lose them all until 10th grade, when I got my left canine pulled. At that point, my orthodontist had retired, and the closest one was two hours away.

At this point, I'm sick of this ugly canine tooth which never came in all the way, so I'm finally going to just get it done again. Luckily, there's an ortho now that comes up here once a month for two days and does exams & tightenings, so I only have to go 2.5 hours away for getting them put on.

ya sophomore year was the last time i every took more than 15 credits. Thermodynamics, dynamics with Passorfailo, and Mechanics of Materials was too much for me so about half-way through the semester I was doing good in mechanics so i focused more on that than my other classes to and prayed for a miracle. Ended up with a D in thermo and an F in dynamics, retook them the following summer and got an AB in dynamics and a BC in thermo, missed a B by like 5 points I was ****ed.

Hm. Interesting. I don't feel like as much of a failure anymore.
Now I realize I should've taken your advice this summer. :p
But, back then, I just thought you were stupid retarded poster.

Oh wait, that's still what I think. ;)

I tried the same thing, Thermo, Dynamics and Mechanics, plus whatever other classes I had (probably mulit-vari calc and a gen ed). I had 19 credits that semester, and it was just too much, but I figured that out early enough to drop Dynamics before I ended up with an F. I ended up doing fine with one less ME class.

So, she has found her ideal match then. Did you skip kindergarten too? :p

IIRC he started kindergarten a year late, or something.

Actually, PB's really hard on me when it comes to school, but that's a good thing. I got yelled at last night when I was on USCHO when I should've been studying, and that actually caused me to study. I'm really a retard when it comes to time management, and having him around forces me to actually do schoolwork. The fact that he's already been through all of this means that he has the ability to help me prevent it happening again.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 103: The Greatest Rep... to this point.

Pffffft. Slackers;) yes, I realize that engineering courses are significantly difficult. We have several engineering programs here (Marine, Mechanical, Electrical, etc) that also take USCG licensing courses on top of the regular courses.

21/19 credits last year (19 with 2 zero credit labs), then 23 and 17 (again, 2 zero credit labs) this year. However, it leaves me with 28 credits for next year.

FWIW: My B.S. degree ends up being 169.5 credits, 18 of which come during my summer shipping things.
