So, as my roommate's fiance is not using his Wii, it is making the move to our apartment. This also includes a WiiFit. :D

I bought an HDTV and home theater system and won't set up anything until Thursday. I'm a little amazed at myself. I'm just waiting for the HDMI, surge protector and wall mount to arrive from Amazon.

I might buy a blu-ray movie this weekend to see how it looks. Maybe I should just order one now and have it arrive Thursday, too. All right, I think I'm getting a little too excited now.

It is exciting to get new stuff. It killed me waiting the 3 days for my HDTV. :o But it looks awesome, especially with blu-ray and HDMI connected 1080p games.

They have. It was mentioned a few times on the curling broadcasts during the Olympics. The Wii is more and more tempting to me: the Wii Resort is awesome, the curling is intriguing, and the Netflix Streaming is a big win.

Not that it makes a difference but any game console you get has Netflix streaming now. :)

It will change your life. Then a few weeks later, it will be the same again.

That is until you end up in some situation where you have to watch a standard definition tv, and find that you can't see an effing thing.

I know that, actually, but I already have a PS2, and soon I'll look to upgrade. And the Wii is actually better than I'd thought it'd be. If I have one of Sony, and one of Nintendo, I figure I'll have just about every base covered when it comes to the games I like. ;)

Edit: and what State said. I broke my HDTV's cherry with "Miracle" which just HAPPENED (not kidding) to be playing on HD on network TV the moment I turned the tv on, and it had just started. It was like approval from God.

I would say the Wii is "meh" at best. But it is good for parties.

Bingo. I'm not a big gamer. I like my sports, maybe a strategery game here and there at best. I have that covered with PS2. With Wii? I have to admit the archery rules, but mostly it'd be for hockey nights post-game, the Netflix, etc.

It's the worst of the three (X360 / PS3 / Wii) in terms of quality, but it's the best of the three for "social gaming".

Oh, and the game "Borderlands" is *'ing hilarious on an unrelated note.

Further reinforcing the notion that I never EVER want to go back to my hometown, one of the teachers at my old high school got arrested for sleeping with a student while having an affair with the vice principal.

And another student caught my old typing teacher having sex with another teacher.
