If I were them, I'd save the pulling-magic-out-of-arse-on-the-road for the playoffs. Gophers need a lot of things to work their way to get home ice in the first round.

That ought to be worth a dozen goals.
FWIW MN is not getting home ice. They have to win out and hope that CC sweeps UND and then gets swept by DU. Pretty unrealistic.
So this weekend, let's threaten to have them gangbang the Tech 5 that MNS turned down if they fail.

Technically there's further unrealistic options where there's some flexibility in those games, but only if Michigan Tech gets points at North Dakota, and yeah...

19,463. That was the amount of people in the X in the 2007 Championship game. To compare, the X for NHL games is a sellout at 18,064 and with standing room brings in 18,568.
That building was amazing that night. I'd estimate 13,000 gopher fans, 5000 Sioux fans, and a smattering of other fans.

At best, I see MN finishing 6th ahead of CC - in which case they'd travel to Grand Forks for round one - which would be the first time MN has traveled to the new REA for a playoff series.
I think the board might explode if this happens.
Also the MN-UND regional atmosphere was pretty good that year... despite the fact the game was at the can in Denver and involved long island jeff.
The option I gave is the most realistic, and even that seems implausible to me (I see UND getting at least a split in the Springs).

Let's be realistic. I'm sure it'll be a big deal to the fanbases involved (GPL might explode...), but very few people outside of that are going to give a crap about a 5 vs 6 matchup to determine who gets the play-in game.

Reminds me; I need to have someone double check my taxes before I file them. According to TurboTax, I don't owe anything, but I'm not getting anything back either...That depends on how much of a refund you're getting back
