Just checking in from Boston. Have been pretty much glued to the tv since Friday night (except for watching hockey). I love Olympic season (and having a DVR has been great for capturing the stuff I've missed).

Making three layer chocolate cake with ganache (fancy name for fudge) and Giada's Chicken Tetrazini for dinner tonight.

What time is dinner?? I have to pick my folks up at the airport at 7:30. ;) Sorry I missed you and tcbg last night. I was with my niece. During one of the intermissions I ran to the Club Room to get a water and saw someone who wanted to chat and by the time we got back the period was about to start. I didn't see you guys in your seats but then noticed you were sitting a few rows behind.

I need to stop watching the Olympics and catch up on the shows I have recorded, but some of these biathlon guys are kinda hot.

Dinner is ... later? Not sure, homework is taking priority over cooking at the moment. It takes probably close to 2 hours to finish, so I don't want to start later than 5.

Ah - yeah, we had to sit 1 row up last night as there was someone in my normal seats. I didn't mind too much - the people who normally sit behind me (the couple with the baby) were sitting 1 row up - and I knew they weren't going to have to move (the normal person sitting in that row was not attending the game).

Greetings from the cell phone lot at Logan Airport. My parents' flight was scheduled to arrive at 7:30. While watching tv I decided to check Jet Blue's site to make sure they were on time. Landing a half hour early instead. Jumped off the couch and got in the car. Just talked to them. Plane is still sitting on the tarmac. What is the point of landing that early if you can't get off the plane??

At some point I would be telling them "F this"and opening the emergency hatch. Get me off the **** plane!! :mad:


Broke out my snowshoes today and hiked a big drift that was along a ridge out in our field today, good workout there. And then threw snowballs at my brother as he was buzzing by me on his quad. He started it. ;)

luckily the race went from 1p to 8p :p (though to be honest i spent five hrs post-pee wee hockey at natick mall shopping at lego, american girl, and tiffany's :o )

You all would be proud of us 'southerners'. At the bar today we had the US Woman's hockey game on the big screen. This was instead of NASCAR or collge hoops. I am waiting for the NC Board of Alcohol control to pull my buddy's liquor license. :p :)

because sometimes the gate isn't available because the airplane that is at that gate is not scheduled to be pushed back. Sucks, I know. But it happens. :o

They just had a pretty cool interview with Hannah Kearney on NBC. Her brother apparently plays for Yale, so she got a college hockey mention in during the interview.

I yelled at the TV "Ya, your brother is going to lose Friday (to SLU (hopefully))!"

I might have to yell to him " Hey Danny, can I ski down Hannah's moguls?"

There should be a mogul judging of all the female olympians.

And strangely, I actually knew the wife of one of the US men's figure skaters in high school. She looks totally different now.
