Ever since I went to DirecTV HD I've had way fewer problems when it snows or there's bad thunderstorms. I haven't had to clean it once this season and we've certainly had plenty of snow.![]()
It worked! (I used a dish towel - The dish is right on the porch.)

If only I'd known I could do this earlier...![]()

Well, it's a good thing you used a dish towel to clean your dish. Had you used a washcloth there might have been problems.....
(I'll refer you all back to the blinker fluid story)
maybe scarlet will be at the F5.... just read corey trivino is out for the year with a broken ankle thanks to the crazy blog writer in our thread.
The only time I had to clean it was when we had an inch or two or sleet on top of 6 inches of snow. This on is mounted pretty low (it's on my deck) so perhaps it laying back too much to adequately self clean. I didn't have this problem in New Hampshire, but that was one pretty high up in a tree.Ever since I went to DirecTV HD I've had way fewer problems when it snows or there's bad thunderstorms. I remember I looked into this (I have DTV already) and its a total misrepresentation of what you really get. As the account holder you get $10 a month for 10 months as opposed to $100 upfront.DirecTV account: # Call 1-866-443-8869 and get a $100 discount when using that number.
Priceless, your sig reminded me...

Kind of annoying. I wanted a free month+ of service right away!![]()
Between ours being installed by my husband and the tree that blocks some of the signal, I'm pretty happy that i have only had to clean it once. (don't ask, has to do with not having a separate account for each house and keeping NESN)One is aimed better than the other. Installers get paid a flat rate depending on the type of install, time is money. A very slight deviation can cause outages when the signal starts to degrade due to the weather conditions. Also snow changes the shape of the antenna, which screws with the focal point. Want it explained with Calculus? (better ask Ralph to do it)![]()
I believe I've missed out on that story.Haven't you ever heard the story about the Finn & the South African?
Yeah, myself as well. Pity that there's not really any curling clubs near either of us in Michigan Bob. Closest to you would be K-Zoo, and for me it looks like Ferndale. I really wish there was something in the Ann Arbor area.Absolutely not.
So do I...
