Those were my predictions based on expected results for the rest of the season, including conference playoffs (yes, I have a lot of free time) Those predictions were called "optimistic" by some BU fans :p

Once again the weather guessers were wrong and instead of getting 2-4"or 4-6", we got nothing. Unreal stretch of no snowy weather here :D

There are dump trucks in the parking lots where I work being loaded with snow. Maybe, I can convince them to drive to Maine. :)

We had the same forecast here. Ended up getting 12" or so at the house. Seems as though there were pockets of heavy snow because here at work there's only about 6-8 inches total (about 6 miles away as the crow flies).

It's nice and icy out there this morning. Main roads are clear but secondary roads are a mess, or a skating rink. The rush hour commute should be fun.

Fell asleep at 9:30 last night. Awesome.

And today is Wednesday, but really a Monday here at school. Fine with me, my Wednesday schedule sucks, but Monday isn't half bad.

And good Lord, just set up my Olympics recording until Friday night... 13-18+ hours every day. Yeesh, the ol' external and TV card are going to be worn out come Feb 28th.

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!! wobbly ash wednesday is here.

Spent yesterday afternoon searching for boots for Lil who grew out the ends of his. Yikes. After 6 stores found a pair at Timberland. Why is it they do not make shoes for size 6-7 in men/boys?? No store had anything smaller than a 7 and only 3 had anything under a 7.5.:mad: My father in law (cobbler) told us he is going to be a pain to find shoes for when he was a tot (very skinny feet) and he has lived up to it.

Why cant they use the USA Hockey logo?


There are two curling clubs out here that I am looking into. I have always wanted to learn how to curl!!!


And I have a TV coming!!!! I will be able to watch the olympics this weekend!!!

:( Stop smoking! :mad: There are a couple of otherwise smart, cute young women in my office who smoke. I cannot believe they continue to do it in this day and age. There are so many avenues out there to help them kick the stupid habit now.:mad:

Both my godparents died of emphysema, one of my buddies from college died at 49 of lung cancer and he was not a heavy smoker. If I ever found out my kid was doing it I'd kick his *** right up to the moon. /rant

Morning Lodge. Could not believe how light the traffic was this AM. I don't believe very many people go to early services for Ash Wednesday these days and it's not another fake holiday for the (un)civil servants.:confused:

I'm enjoying having some actual daylight on my drive in. I leave the house at 6 AM and by the time I cross the Mississippi in Monticello I can actually see across the potato fields as I head towards hwy 10. Of course this will only last until DST starts next month.
