27 here too. Growing weary of cold with no snow and going to work. Ready for spring and digging in the garden.:(

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 101: Saturday Morning

Good morning Lodge.

Home again today with a sick kid.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 101: Saturday Morning

Morning Lodge
At work early for a 7 am meeting. I went to bed at 9:30 last night and it was awesome. I woke up at 2:30, thinking that it was time to wake up for work, it is nice to look at the clock and realize that you can roll over and sleep for another 4 hours. :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 101: Saturday Morning

hey Lodge. I fell asleep yesterday at 4:00 and woke up this morning at 6:25. Guess I needed some sleep. :o

There's some good news on the job front. An airline in Minneapolis (Compass) is hiring. They are reviewing applicants for the next 6 weeks and then beginning interviews. I talked on the phone to the HR person yesterday (she called me). She said I more than meet their requirements, they know about the Lynx situation and feel bad, and that she would really like me working there.

It's really the best news I've heard in awhile. Doesn't mean much, but right now, I'll take what I can get. :)

That would be good news for you. :)

Although it sucks that you would be in Minneapolis more often. :p

gmann, hope the sick kid gets better.

SG, good luck!

I think I spoke too early yesterday when I said the weather wasn't bad. I got stuck in my driveway when I got home last night. At least it was a good place to be stuck...had to shovel another 6 inches or so of snow when I got home (since I didn't do it yesterday morning).

Roads were ok this morning, but there were some spots where wind drifts had caused a little snow/ice.......this meant one person going 25 in a 55 this morning. The same road I was perfectly comfortable traveling 50-60 mph on last night. Oh, and I was car number 12 behind this moron, so I didn't get the chance to pass them. Frustrating.

Of course, this is nothing compared to what my hometown in Maryland has gotten. My mom claims to be plowing out another 2 feet of snow.

That sounds promising.

What he said. :p

Morning Lodge. Clear and cold today. The kid has a field trip today - to go skiing! We never had field trips to ski slopes when I was a kid. We had boring trips to museums and stuff (actually, they were still preferred to sitting in school all day, but not as good as skiing).

Hey GE (or anyone else who knows), what's the best way to Wakota from the west? Which exit from 494 should I take? It looks like Concord street should get me there, but the map programs tell me to take the 7th Ave exit. Thanks!

you know how you apply for jobs and you just have that feeling of they like you or not? I had the like you vibe from the HR Lady. Of course, most women like me, so y'know...:D
