Second batch of mini muffins are in the oven as a reward for finishing the two chapters of population biology assigned (one on the evolution of HIV - interesting!, one on the populations of deciduous trees - not as interesting). The mini-corn ones I made last weekend were great! I had a few every day for breakfast and a few for snack a couple times this week (recipe made about 44 muffins). That's roughly 8 breakfasts/snacks! Lots of money saved by not having to buy anything for breakfast/snack all week!

I love corn muffins. Did you make them from scratch? I just use the Jiffy corn muffin mix.

Eh... I'm not out to save the world... I'm out to see if i can do cool things, have fun, and do good by others. That's hard enough on its own... but you gotta have some reason to get up in the morning even if its just for yourself.

I had the same thought when I was checking my Facebook just now. Someone posted an article about how any NFL Reebok jerseys made in the last couple months were made by impoverished people in some rinky-dink country and we should all be outraged. You know what? I don't care. Not even a little. I mean, that's too bad for them, but I'm not going to go burn my Brett Favre jersey because little Consuelo only got 50 cents to make it.

This is the short term reward (and there is no degree right now - making up classes so I can apply to graduate programs in the field I'd like to pursue.)
Scarlet - I used this recipe. They were quite good and very cute. Next time, I'll probably substitute yogurt for butter in the recipe though. (I did that in tonight's recipe - subbed the yogurt in for the buttermilk.)

Toyotas are good cars, really - this is just about the only thing I can remember being recalled for them. HUGE gift for GM, Ford and Chrysler though.
