I remember my father's place of work shut down because 1) the workers in Atlanta would make a few less per hour, 2) it doesn't snow in Atlanta and executives should be spared snow.... despite the place my father worked at having a phenomenally low mistake rate despite the entire place being at its core nepotistic.

Never underestimate the power of cushy elite guys shooting themselves in the *** for their own emotions.

This really does suck. Slight correction though - your CEO doesn't give a *t what you do now, he just doesn't want it to be with him.

Hey kids. Long day. Had an all-day meeting at our Research facility out in Hopkinton. The traffic was ridiculous - took me an hour and a half to get out. Reminds me why I don't like the marathon. I don't like to drive that route let alone run it. Got back to the office about 4pm, had to review something really quickly. Then went out for a beverage or two with my friends. Got home about an hour ago.

I hate when I can't check out this thread all day.

I'll trade you your volume of traffic today for idiot drivers who can't drive in light snow. :mad: Most people were doing HALF the speed limit on the side roads (40-45 mph limits on the ones I take). Not 5 under, not 10 under, but HALF THE LIMIT. And when they switched lanes, they didn't turn their blinker on until they were about 75% in the next lane.

The funniest thing about all this? The first moron I saw had a Toyota. Apparently he got one of the non-recalled ones.
