I see what you meant when you guys said board is slow around 6:00 AM (EST). When I post first thing (5-ish for me) I post my "good morning", and open another tab and read the paper. Sometimes it's taken five minutes or more for my post to actually show up.

Something goes around at 6AM eastern time at USCHO every that causes posting to be delayed. I used to get impatient, post several times, and then delete the extra copies.

That wasn't my problem today. It was a general slowdown which has now cleared up.

Not really looking forward to today. Probably going to spend a bunch of time sitting around in Sterling Heights with no internet waiting for my supplier to do what they are supposed to. Then hopefully I can come back to work with good parts. But I'll be tempted to take the afternoon off.

I was looking at the calendar for the rest of the year and realized that I have 6 days of vacation, 5 days of holidays and 8 days of training left, which only leaves 15 days for normal work. Add onto it that there is now a good chance that I'll be making a trip to Georgia before the end of the year and it looks like I'll be very busy.

Yeah, that had to been a mess. And worse of all, probably couldn't get any tasty venison from it either.

Sort of. You'll likely end up in either Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane or Canberra. Those are all the major ports of call there. If they say they're sending you to central Australia, try to say "No" really fast.

I don't think I'll get the chance to say no, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed...with the vague details I've heard about the project I'm guessing it would be in a decent size city, so, not in the interior.

TF, you sure you don't live in Maine?

ShirtlessGuy brought up a good point: I don't HAVE to be in the suite. I CAN sit elsewhere if I wanted to. But that option is nice. (I'll probably be mostly in the suite anyways).

The upstairs bathroom was falling apart- literally- bathtub veneer wearing thru, sink cracked, vanity of particle board doing what you would imagine after 30 + yrs of being in a humid environment. Today they are gutting BR and then starting to redo it.

At least your bathroom ceiling hasn't caved in yet. i'd rather deal with your bathroom than with mine...

Nice! I heard it was kind of a dud around here, my lazy arse couldn't get out of bed at 4AM for the peak. Glad I saw it back in '99 when the shower was in it's prime. It was insane!

I got up around 3:30 this morning to check it out. The sky was clear and it was pretty neat. Not waking up and dreaming about ttp's would have been the wiser choice though.

There are about 75 kids in the waiting room. About 20 of them have been crying since they walked in the door. Little g's are tough as nails and think all those kids should quit wearing skirts.
