Re: Rep Lodge 80: In a row?

Can I collect dinner tonight? It is 95 with 70 dewpoint here and I have no AC:( :p

I still owe you from last year. :o

I for one hate hot weather (would choose 40 below zero over 95 and humid) Get yourself some AC. If memory serves correct you need a ductless AC. I have experience with them and they are awesome as my father owns a plumbing/heating /AC business.

We have a portable one downstairs in the cellar that Mr never sees fit to bring up to use. He can stand the heat until he wants to sleep. My revenge is I can't sleep with backround noise so no fan is running at nite. Ah well.

No worries about the other thing.

And in other news I finally hooked up my scanner after 3 (maybe more:o )yrs of it being a copier only. It is one of those all in one thingys. I had thought to scan in all the old (I mean OLD) family pics. I am technologically challenged and can't seem to figure out how to label them with what is written on the back. Stupid thing has no written instructions. I HATE when you need to keep switching windows to figure stuff out.   As of now I have not figured it out except how to make the thing fit the screen. Still can't make it label without it disappearing. The templates for the album option do not allow for one 8X10 with text and I can't figure out how to make an album. What bone head designed this anyway? That and it can't find any updates which means this might be too old to do anything with anyway. I HATE TECHNOLOGY!

(whew, that felt better)

Oh, those crazy Swedes. :)

wish I had noticed this earlier... what has your expense with the swedes been. I think I'll be donating a fair amount of kronor soon in a month-and-a-half (as soon as the bonus check clears).

Check outlet stores, or dig for clearance/display items at the local Office Depot/furniture stores. You can get some good deals. I got my comp desk and chair for a total of $100, and the orig price combined was over $250. And they are much better quality than the Ikea stuff.

For regular furniture you can get awesome deals at the Slumberland outlets. My former roommate got a couch/loveseat/2 endtables/coffee table/2 table lamps for about a grand total. Decent quality, too.

I really dislike Ikea. ;)

meh, I'm in the "lets do this ****ing thing in one shot" kinda mood. i'll also, likely, be without a car. I'll play it as it goes. I've got base set of furniture needs (couch, home-ent, bookcase, bed?) to fill and then I'll work from there.

The base furniture is a good start. Those are keys to comfort, IMO. Heck check yard sales or craigslist or something if all you need is "touch-up" stuff or whatever.

I like nice stuff, but I don't like going broke for it, or getting something of not-great quality just because it's cheap and convenient (insert sex joke here). :D
