Re: Rep Lodge 80: In a row?

THis morning the azzhat next door is out at 6fffing 30 hammering. Then at 6fffffing45 the jack hammer from the sewr workers starts. Now I have stereo hammering at different pitches. What the Hell happened to the sound ordinances?

WHAT?

SPEAK UP, I CAN'T HEAR YOU.

Re: Rep Lodge 80: In a row?

Good Morning Lodge!

Last night the lady friend and I made a crock pot of baked beans for the cookout at work today. I wasn't going to make these again, since its the same thing I brought last time, but I had several people request that I bring the same beans this time because they were very tasty. So I made beans again, along with actually writing down the recipe for a couple co-workers.

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!! terrible tuesday is here and is indeed terrible so far

So, I live in the semi 'country'. I am supposed to wake up to birds chirping etc and usually do. THis morning the azzhat next door is out at 6fffing 30 hammering. Then at 6fffffing45 the jack hammer from the sewr workers starts. Now I have stereo hammering at different pitches. It was ugly hot last night so I didn't sleep well until it cooled off somewhere around 3 ish. If you do the math :shudder: that does not leave much sleep. What the Hell happened to the sound ordinances?
If you live in the country, you should be at peace with the fact that work begins before the sun comes up, 6 would be a late start where I come from.

Hey, I love it. I can't wait until football season. :)
I'm making several bets a day and am dabbling in parlays a bit.

And quit yapping about how I never venture out. I've been on a couple dates the past three weeks, ****-o. :p

Check outlet stores, or dig for clearance/display items at the local Office Depot/furniture stores. You can get some good deals. I got my comp desk and chair for a total of $100, and the orig price combined was over $250. And they are much better quality than the Ikea stuff.

For regular furniture you can get awesome deals at the Slumberland outlets. My former roommate got a couch/loveseat/2 endtables/coffee table/2 table lamps for about a grand total. Decent quality, too.

I really dislike Ikea. ;)

meh, I'm in the "lets do this ****ing thing in one shot" kinda mood. i'll also, likely, be without a car. I'll play it as it goes. I've got base set of furniture needs (couch, home-ent, bookcase, bed?) to fill and then I'll work from there.

The base furniture is a good start. Those are keys to comfort, IMO. Heck check yard sales or craigslist or something if all you need is "touch-up" stuff or whatever.

I like nice stuff, but I don't like going broke for it, or getting something of not-great quality just because it's cheap and convenient (insert sex joke here). :D

The Ikea stuff is pretty nice. I realized this weekend that a buddy has some of their stuff in his house, and they've held up over the past 5 or so years. And, regardless of what anyone tells you, it's pretty easy to put together (though it can get tedious), as long as you have 2 screwdrivers and a hammer, and experience following Lego instructions (those crazy Scandinavians and their picture-based instructions!).

If you have the basic essentials, the cheaper route would be to search Craigslist for the other pieces you need.

I have never been to an Ikea.

Re: Rep Lodge 80: In a row?

So if I get a delivery error on the e-mail I sent wishing the ex-bf a happy birthday, is that a sign that I should just completely cut him out of my life? I used the wrong e-mail address, it was the first one that came up when I started typing his name, it's not like he changed it to avoid me.

I was going to try using him to help me move (he did offer way back when). However, I might feel bad using him for another favor considering the only time I've seen him since the break-up in May was for him to drive me to the airport for my China trip. :o

Re: Rep Lodge 80: In a row?

Good mid-morning, Lodge!

I'm in rainy OK City until tomorrow. Storms last night were full of sound and fury, but only "straight" winds (as they say here), so no worries.

Tomorrow we pick out our Malamute pup (born 9 August), and we pick her up 27 September!

Come on, even I've been on a couple dates in the last 3 weeks!:p

You are lucky, that place is pure hell.
Hookers qualify as furniture now?
I don't think so, don't you pay for them to sit on you?

Consider this: if he helps you move, he's going to find all of his CDs and sweatshirts you kept after the breakup! (Unless it's all boxed up already, of course.)
