mookie, the Ivy is very new while the building the W is in is quite old (was once the tallest building between the Mississippi and San Fancisco) but was remodeled from offices to the W in the past 10 years. The restaurant in the W, Manny's, is better than Porter and Frye in the Ivy, but the Ivy spa is nice. Parking will be expensive either place (although at the Ivy I could let you park at our office about 4 blocks away).

which way four blocks away?? :D

i booked the Foshay. on the starwood supplied maps that looks to be a couple blocks north of the Ivy.

i think either place was $28/day for valet pkg.

i check with a buddy of mine this morning who works for Deluxe and is in MSP all the time. he agrees with y'all that Forshay is worth it.

****ING ****... Service engine soon light came on.
Best solution to fix a check engine light is a little piece of electrical tape to cover it up. I hate check engine lights and I just ignore them, if something is actually wrong with the engine I'll know it by the way it runs.
Last time mine went out (maybe 3-4 years ago) I didn't even get that.

I figured the light would come on at some point here. I've been trying to self-diagnose a problem the car has been having. At higher speeds (60 mph+) the car seems to shudder or hiccup. Doesn't drop RPM or speed, just shudders. When I'm in gear but at a stoplight sometimes the car shudders and the RPMs drop. Still happens in neutral and park so I doubt it's the torque converter or transmission.

Figured it couldn't hurt, so I added a can of seafoam with the last gas fill up. No luck and now the CES light is on. Probably a fuel system problem.
Throttle position sensor.

It took you that long to move from one table to another? Is this where we make comments oabout mobility at a certain age (which souldn't fly because you just set a bike record....)

My GPS isn't working. :D

Mass then research for mookie......er......breakfast with my daughter (wife and son went to a mother-son brunch at STA) at Grandview Grill. Add this one to the list. :)

Re: Rep Lodge 125: The Thanksgiving Dinner Version: Gimme Some More...

ok then. Foshay it is. wish it was closer to the barn, but at least i'm booked.

Based upon location alone, you made a good choice. The Ivy is on 11th St, which is one of two entryways on the south side of downtown from 35W. It's a very busy street.

Marquette Ave, where the W is, is also busy, but mostly only during rush hour. And the W is on the good side of the street for you. It's a sort of split one-way street. The northbound traffic is for standard automobile traffice, while the southbound is reserved during both morning and evening rush hours for buses.

Just learned that Jr (13) told his mom that he found out "a girl likes him." One of this girl's friends told him that at the arena last night. The girl who likes him? Daughter of former NHLer and heck of a goalie on her own. Also pretty cute I'm told.

They are in religion class together on Wednesday nights.

That's adorable (though I'm sure Jr won't think so). I love little things like that - gave tcbg and I a chuckle.

Hello, Lodge. Quiet day here. Recovering from some serious stomach bug that laid me low yesterday. Did manage to take the final in my online class and get 3 loads of laundry done though. :)

Everything about this weekend has sucked so far.

I hope Karma comes through. I'm owed big-time in that case.

Vikings won. Gopherhole is imploding. Outside of the hockey program, which I'm guessing will be dealt with in due time, things are great.

Gophers hockey? Swept. My Bills? Whupped (although they are getting a better draft pick, so that's the highlight of my weekend). FFL? Dunzo. Fri night ruined by working late. And the Devils suck. Yeah, wish I had more liquor.
