* hockey. Barkeep, just wipe all the detritus off the rail and squeeze it into a glass.

Re: Rep Lodge 125: The Thanksgiving Dinner Version: Gimme Some More...

No, not a double. Just several regulars should do the trick.

Re: Rep Lodge 125: The Thanksgiving Dinner Version: Gimme Some More...

I've skipped over the alcohol for now and am moving right on to kerosene.

Re: Rep Lodge 125: The Thanksgiving Dinner Version: Gimme Some More...

*king right it does!

Sending shots of Jack to the *k hockey table. And shots of Crown. And shots of Everclear for the Tech fans.

Off to Vegas tomorrow. 1/2 marathon on Sunday. Time to be pumped! :)
Good luck!

I broke today my all-time record for miles biked in a year. :)

Just going ahead and taking my seat at the * Hockey Bar right now.

The beauty of pessimism is that you're always either right, or you're pleasantly surprised.
Amen to that.
There will be much. As well as ketel and tonic and Crown and cokes!

Landed! Vegas!!!!!!!!!
Awesome! And have a 7&7 for me...

I hope not. :D
Of course... you'll break it sooner!

Evening, Lodge. * work. * most everything right now.

Definitely happy hockey table for me now, even though I still feel like ****.

SO, Mr got a 'raise' July but this is the first check it takes effect. It was a tiny raise but nice to have- so I thought. Nice contract. The health insurance is up 100%, they are now charged for parking. Taxes, of course, went up. Net increase-- it is a negative number. How can a raise make you lose money? Love that union negotiating the contract

Methinks I hear the sound of pitchforks being sharpened in Houghton.

The most useless employees benefit from the unions. The best ones are dragged down to the level of the lowest performers as all are rewarded equally.

Just cracked one of the nordeasts that I came across last weekend at my parents house. Specialty made chicken and potatoes on the grill. Its all good.

As for breakfast in the cities, I can't recommend Keys Cafe enough. Excellent food.

Working on thinking something up for next weekend for my birthday celebration ....

Re: Rep Lodge 125: The Thanksgiving Dinner Version: Gimme Some More...

I remember when Key's was in Crystal (where it got its start). They wanted to "franchise" out, and the Crystal location bought out and renamed it "DD's Cafe." I think DD's relocated to Blaine. Same food, but yes, very awesome. Their omelettes put most other restaurants to shame.

bbdl: How about a Breaking Bad marathon, Sipper Saturday, then hit a local (to you) bar?

My off the cuff guess is that it's been this way for at least 40 years. Back when the approach to employment was six day weeks / 16 hour days, they served a purpose. Now that there are strong labor laws, unions are generally useless.
