Morning, Lodgers.

Back to the grind this morning. Chilly as heck too!

Happy to be home as this Thanksgiving was a bit of a stressful one on the family front (partially my fault). Unfortunately, this may not resolve by Christmas and may make that holiday a bit uncomfortable as well. :(

I did have a mini-birthday party when I was home complete with cake and a trip to see HP7. :)

Morning, Lodge. After a phone interview this morning (unfortunately not for a job, but for a side project I'm heading up) I have more Christmas shopping to do. Woo fun.

Howdy kids. Comcast had a power outage last night and I couldn't get on the internet. Tried calling to see what the issue was, got a fast busy signal. Woke up this morning to see that it made the news. I was annoyed as I had planned to do a little online shopping last night.

So....the wireless on my iPhone didn't work either. Is that because my wireless router is connected to my cable modem? And with Comcast down, I couldn't use my wirelesss at all?

Correct. But you should of been able to surf via the 3G signal via AT&T.

Just got "qualified" in my first of 7 sections I need to "qualify" for to take my USCG license exams in January. I will be able to qualify in 5 of the other sections this week, leaving only one more (the hardest to qualify in) for next week or the week after. I'll be giving myself a caffeine drip via IV all week long if anybody cares to join me.

If you do my christmas shopping, I'd probably pay you. And I don't have a list, just get whatever they hell you feel like, just nothing too nice or thoughtful, I wouldn't want them to get high expectations for the future.

-anything from late night TV (Shake Weight included)
-bags of snack food
-framed pictures of bb_dl
-candle holders made from used motor oil bottles
-cups and other trinkets gotten from various tourist destinations, preferably with price tags still attached

I've thought of stuff like this before, but not out of old oil jugs. I get my oil in 1 gallon jugs at the smallest, my dad just buys it in 55 gallon drums, not a whole lot of quart sized oil containers around. I have a crank out of a 2 cylinder snowmobile that I want to turn into a lamp, and I'm currently using a used piston as a pen holder on my desk at work.

Hey - I've been trying to get a "Wrong Way" sign since the 6th grade (dang Sublime video...)

I have a "Watch For Falling Rocks" sign in the garage. It used to hang behind the bar at school, thought it was fitting. Also have a "Cattle Crossing" sign in the shed at home which will have to come up to the house at some point, as my dad has decided to tear down that building to make room for his new, bigger garage.
