Gopher Football! :D :eek: :D :eek::D :eek::D :eek::D :eek:

I got to attend my first ever game at the Bank. I got a free ticket from my buddy because his father-in-law got sick. He's living in Iowa City now, went to grad school down there, grew up here in Apple Valley. I was the lone Gopher supporter in a group of Hawkeye fans. It was fun. :D

Did anyone see they couldn't get the eastern goalpost down? They were trying and trying, but it took a lot of effort. I don't think it ever came down fully.

Sex and Good English Grammar!

On his 74th birthday, a man got a gift certificate from his wife. The certificate paid for a visit to a medicine man living on a nearby reservation who was rumored to have a wonderful cure for erectile dysfunction.

After being persuaded, he drove to the reservation, handed his ticket to the medicine man, and wondered what he was in for.

The old man slowly, methodically, produced a potion, handed it to him, and with a grip on his shoulder, warned, 'This is a powerful medicine, and it must be respected. You take only a teaspoonful, and then say '1-2-3.' When you do that, you will become more manly than you have ever been in your life, and you can perform as long as you want."

The man was encouraged. As he walked away, he turned and asked, "How do I stop the medicine from working?"

"Your partner must say '1-2-3-4,'" he responded, "but when she does, the medicine will not work again until the next full moon."

He was very eager to see if it worked so he went home, showered, shaved, took a spoonful of the medicine, and then invited his wife to join him in the bedroom. When she came in, he took off his clothes and said, "1-2-3!"

Immediately, he was the manliest of men. His wife was excited and began throwing off her clothes, and then she asked, "What was the 1-2-3 for?"

And that, boys and girls, is why we should never end our sentences with a preposition, because we could end up with a dangling participle.

Good Morning Lodge! :)

Re: Rep Lodge 125: The Thanksgiving Dinner Version: Gimme Some More...

Good morning Lodge! I've already been up and out and did my food shopping before I had breakfast. What to do today?? I've sat on my *** the last few days doing nothing. I really should do something today.

Getting ready to go to church then to the market. Just finished the calendar for Dec. I may go completely insane before Christmas. Just sayin'.

Hey, even God was a pile on Sunday. I think you can be one, too. ;)

Re: Rep Lodge 125: The Thanksgiving Dinner Version: Gimme Some More...

Morning, Lodge. Being a pile sounds pretty appealing today. :D

I wish I could be a pile today; instead, I've already done dishes and taken the kitchen garbage out. After I finish my English paper, I need to organize the refrigerator.

are you equating Scarlet with God?

I'm just saying that if the Almighty can be lazy, she can too.

Pretty much a pile today. Bro Gin, bbdl is mad, because he came up to OC to hang out with you. But of course, you being the jack wagon that you are, you weren't there.

Got a nice Scott Studwell pint glass, and all I had to do was drink a Coors. :D

yeah, I'm a bad dude, I'm sorry. :( But when I only get 11 days off a month and 1/2 of those are spent commuting, it's hard to get back. Once I start getting more days off, we'll be happier

So, am I the only one who couldn't get on the board all day? I started at 9am and wasn't able to get on till I was on my iPhone at the game tonight. Which got better, by the way. Not that much better, but better enough. So I give up my spot at the * hockey table for now.

It was definitely down for me as well. Blank pages only.

Eh, I ended up making some Christmas presents (wooden cooking utensils), so I wasn't a pile after all. Incidentally, when working in an open-air workshop in late November, flannel-lined jeans help immensely. :D

Polar fleece ones work too.

Wished I could be a pile but instead was shockingly productive. Made turkey soup with real turkey stock. Made turkey and gravy which will be packed and put in the freezer. (Turkey version of S on a shingle) Did the dishes, brought up the Christmas dishes and put them in the china cabinet, did 4 loads of laundry and folded them. Now wish I could collapse but HH looms on the horizon. (...and I can't type or construct a sentence worth squat at the moment so I hope the grammar horse is in his stall)

I saw nothing wrong in that post, les.

Would have been a pile today if I hadn't been one Wednesday, Friday and yesterday. Ventured out to do some Xmas shopping. I brought all my Xmas stuff out of storage and brought my beach chair down to storage. I also cleaned the glass of my sliding door out to my balcony. Should have done it months ago. It was bothering me. After all that, I met a friend to go see a movie. Now I'm heating up left over Chinese food for dinner.

Re: Rep Lodge 125: The Thanksgiving Dinner Version: Gimme Some More...

Our flight to Denver arrived ahead of the snow which should be arriving later tonight. It was nice to see and visit with family, but quite frankly, it's true: there's no place like home. We're glad to be back. I hope everyone had a nice holiday weekend.:)
