Not downplaying anything. It's good for all the reasons you state but it can (and has) caused headaches for many teams that reached the pinnacle. I'd rather see them focused on the ultimate prize without any unnecessary distractions.

Excellent point……it’s a badge of honor and its prestigious…..now use that accolade and go out and get some damn NHL draft pick recruits….but not too high…..the don’t buy into the “system” as much……

Does Quinnipiac really need to go get those recruits? The players they are recruiting now seem to be working for out them more than fine

Not when they get into the grind of late NCAA Tournament games lately……they’re lack of size matters when battling for pucks against the boards…..AND…..more importantly…..those teams with all the elite high end talent…..play more together by that time of the year……sonYEAH…..we need some high talent that will play for the we instead or the me…talent level was apparent against Michigan

Not when they get into the grind of late NCAA Tournament games lately……their lack of size matters when battling for pucks against the boards…..AND…..more importantly…..those teams with all the elite high end talent…..play more together by that time of the year……so YEAH…..we need some high end talent that will play for the we instead or the me…talent level was apparent against Michigan

That's fair. Mixing in even 2-3 of those types of players could be a big difference when going up against teams like Michigan and Minnesota
 
Did Qpac send their club team up to play Andy Bernard’s alma matter?!!!! WTF was that? Do you think you can just show up and get the job done?! It’s a quick exit in the NCAA Tournament with that kinda effort……you don’t have 28 NHL draft picks to depend on talent alone ……get it out of your system now. When Cornell came to Hamden…..they’ couldn’t skate with you….at all:…..what happened tonight?!!!

As someone who's been to that rink, there's a reason they have such a good home-ice advantage. It's a very intimidating place to go play, and this isn't the first time Cornell has knocked off a top team in their barn. Not saying that's what happened, but I'm sure it played a role.

Just a bad game, and a bad night. Burn the tape, get ready for tomorrow, and forget about it.

Credit Cornell with having the right game plan to keep us in check, not to mention "last change" which is definitely a home-ice advantage. That game swung on the missed PP opportunites, especially early on. Cornell is always stingy and staying with or ahead of them is necessary, or else they just grind you to death.

No need to panic, it's only their 2nd loss. If nothing else, it serves as a wake-up call heading down the stretch.

The students aren't back yet and the crowd was actually fairly passive (well, for Lynah).

The game didn't break open until the 3rd period. The first two were just great hockey by both teams, intense, creative, focused. The penalty kills early were the key. And catching Perets on a sub-deity night helped. Your guy Lipkin was amazing, all over the ice. And he looks like Borat, which is nice.

As somebody said, the loss may actually help Q since Pecknold will never permit them to become lazy. The Skating Deerticks are still absolutely the team to beat in Lake Placid and in the NC$$. This game was really far more about Cornell recovering from blowing the BU game and it was about Q. Reverse that result and we would wake up to 3 ECAC teams in the top 10 in PWR.

Have fun in Hamilton: Gate is hungry enough to make this a zero point weekend if Q is not careful.

Did Q change their sweaters? I mean, besides the logo. Last night the unis practically appeared black, unless it was a closeup when you could make out the midnight blue. Did they darken them? I have always liked their color combination.

They are very dark blue. I don't care for the new road sweaters with the gold shoulders. I prefer the classic look of the old Buffalo Sabres style we had.

For sure. I'm a firm believer that a team as good as this one needs to lose every once in a while. Sometimes you need a little shock therapy to remind you what it takes to win.

SNY is no longer sponsoring the tourney so I doubt they are broadcasting it and don't show it in their schedule. I can't find anything anywhere regarding a broadcast or stream. It would seem that the games should be on ESPN+ given that Hockey East and ECAC games are carried there but they don't show on the schedule either.

It would be a shame if there is no broadcast coverage of this event...

I watch most of the NHL games at the following site, they have been streaming many NCAA d-1 games as well. Install a pop up blocker if you are going to use it. http://onhockey.tv/index.php?place=sawlive&channel=tvh

LOL!! Who cares?! I’m talking about the USCHO forums….lol….never even seen one post about the program….”they have their own private forum where fans get together”…..lol….that’s priceless….great response!!!
