Quinnipiac Bobcats 2022-23: The Quest Continues...

I thought it was pretty even. Quinnipiac skill was on display by taking advantage of UND defensive mistakes as well as some very excellent placed shots that resulted in goals. The first period was especially bad for UND. Need to shore things up defensively tomorrow.

If anything, I think QU showed they could play with any top tier team. Still early in the year, and both teams will clean things up in the coming weeks. More than 1/2 the NoDak Skaters are draft picks, and deservedly so. They are fast, skilled and smart. I liked QU's shooting. We're used to seeing 2-3 goals on 40 shots. They seem to be taking more quality shots this year and not just beating the hell out of the opponent goalie's logo. The game was wild and both teams left it all out there. Sometimes evenly matched teams look like ballet, other times like chaos. I think we saw a little of both.

I expect a letdown tonight. Definite NoDak momentum after last night, and I expect them to come out on fire tonight. QU will have to survive the onslaught and allow the game to slow down. I hope Perets is ok. NoDak's coach said in an interview after the game he though he had cramps. Hope that's all it is and not an injury.

First time I've watched a MidCo/NCHCTV feed. I was impressed. Production was excellent and the announcers were obviously NoDak supporters, but didn't go full out HOMER on us. They were fair, and very complimentary to the Bobcats. Excellent Job by the broadcast team.

Not sure where you’ve been in the last decade….we are in top 3 programs in wins. Maybe ….just maybe…that qualifies you as a “top tier program”. If that doesn’t qualify maybe a 5-5 tie and 6-2 win in the toughest barn to win in counts?

Huge win. Punched them in the mouth over that stretch. Defense tightened up tonight and played how we need them to. This win is massive for the Pairwise. If we want to achieve what we haven’t, we will see them again.

Go Bobcats

The ND announcers were as stunned and shell shocked as the crowd. “This certainly doesn’t look like the #8 ranked team in the country” Hopefully someone else can represent the conference in non conference games…..hopefully Harvard will help us help the conference

As ugly as they played last night, tonight was redemption. An excellent road game and a huge road win. Overall a great weekend.

The UND radio announcers were fantastic. Thoroughly enjoyed listening to them both nights.

Hope to see UND make a return trip to Hamden next season.

Onto Maine! See you in Orono!

Great game tonight. They did everything they needed to do. Smart defense, good offense. It's nice to see more scoring coming from the team.
I went into this weekend hoping for a split. A win and a tie on the road at ND makes me very happy.

Possibly the best road stream I've seen. Video was good (a few hiccups tonight, like not starting the feed on time) and the announcers were great. Very fair all weekend. Very knowledgeable about the road team too. You almost never see that anymore.

Congrats on a great weekend and a HUGE win tonight. NoDak team and fans hate to lose at home. Absolutely hate it. Who exactly were the NoDak announcers? When the NCHC played in the Omaha pod during the pandemic, the Midco announcers were horrible NoDak homers (and my mute button was never so severely tested).
These are the four that I remember as being the worst North Dakota Homers from the Omaha pod…
Ben Holden, Dave Star Man, Jake Brandt and Alex Heinert.

Don’t know if anyone else saw this stat or if it was mentioned on the broadcast. First time since 2001, an opponent went into Grand Forks and scored 11 goals in a weekend…..wow

That's amazing! Late in the game the announcers were talking about how well Rand was managing the game, including taking the crowd out of it. They said something about the Ralph never being that quiet.

Anyone who purchased the NCHC.tv feed, you need to email them to cancel. I did last evening and received a confirmation that I would not be billed again but would have the feed until the 13th of November.

great weekend, 4th line scoring was great to see. I love Joey C and TJ’s energy. They just live to play hockey and having a 4th line with skill will bode well. Very excited for this year. Not worried about Yanni looking Human on Friday. That was a war this weekend and QU came out with the overall victory. That will be a big recruiting win as well. Kids on the fence will be impressed.

Mayber they call league games differently but this weekend they were very fair and honest. Yes, you knew they were NoDak people but they didn't force it on anybody. They were well prepared and very well informed about Quinnipiac as an opponent. At one point late in Saturday's broadcast they even said it would be nice to have the Bobcats on the schedule every year.

BC fan here. Drove up from NY City and saw your win at Chestnut Hill. Congrats on your tie and win at North Dakota, no easy place for a visitor.

Worst effort I’ve ever seen from them in many many years. They have 11 new players and I’m not sure if any of them beside Lipkin would see the ice last year. Saw this as an upset alert game all week…but totally outplayed in 3rd. They looked so soft and had no response after 1-0. When you’re consistently ranked in top 5….top 10….you get everyone’s best effort. Another huge hit on Pairwise. Rand better kick over a few garbage cans in the locker room during the post game team talk.

Better effort tonight. Still some areas to work on but much more focused.

Hopefully Metsa was out more as a precaution. We need him out there to steady the ship.

Perets was solid. Made some big saves when the game was still close.

Power play still needs work. They've had good looks but everyone seems to know what's going to happen.

A split isn't what I expected but will take it. Off week coming up for everybody to get healthy andvthen the grueling ECAC schedule begins.

Well a hard fought 2 wins this weekend. Could they have played better yes but could they have played worse also yes. I like the Colgate team they always like Brown give us a hard time. My biggest surprise of the weekend was Cornell. They just did not seem to be on their game I expected them to play a much better game. They just could not put anything together and passing was just horrible. Don't know did they loose their core from last year?
