Quinnipiac Bobcats 2022-23: The Quest Continues...

Well a hard fought 2 wins this weekend. Could they have played better yes but could they have played worse also yes. I like the Colgate team they always like Brown give us a hard time. My biggest surprise of the weekend was Cornell. They just did not seem to be on their game I expected them to play a much better game. They just could not put anything together and passing was just horrible. Don't know did they loose their core from last year?
It was an ECAC weekend. Gritty, physical, scrappy and tight. Cornell isn’t the same team from last year but QU didn’t give them much space either. These are the weekends that TJ is back for. The guy is a human hemorrhoid. He was under the skin of both teams all weekend. Brind’amour seemed to play a similar style. These are the types of games they’ll need to win in the ECAC. Next weekend they will need to keep their foot on the gas as well. Yale got out scored 10-0 this weekend. Brown always plays us tough.

Petruzelli signed an NHL deal last night for Toronto to get moved up due to injury. He is 6-0 on the year in the AHL and has been splitting time with Dryden McKay (shouldn’t of won the Hobey) and got picked over McKay. Congrats to Keith, another Bobcat in the NHL!

That was the worst Cornell team I've seen. Their execution was off all night. Zero shots in the 1st and well into the 2nd before they got one through to Perets. They were fast but didn't really do anything with their speed.

And for those that live in the dark, Keith Petruzelli signed a 2 year entry level contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs and was supposed to dress as the backup for theit game today. I'd love to see Petro get some time in net.

Watched the game Saturday night in person at the Bank. Agreed, Cornell wasn't very good at all. 4th game of the year, all road games so far and a missing head coach have left them listless. They were not good, but a few chances in the 2nd and 3rd periods could have tied the game at any moment. Both teams, as always limited good chances, lots of hard checks and passing lanes were clogged. QU's D was swarming, aggressive, and well organized....playing 8 games already really showed. It's a long season and Cornell will be near the top...any idea why the schedule is flipped this year? QU and CU in November?? It get no easier with a North Country trip this weekend, hopefully with Schaf. Keep rolling Bobcats!

The conference again has been abysmal against teams from other conferences. The PAIRWISE boosting part of the schedule is over. I wish that Providence game wasn’t a scrimmage lol.
Now teams with a PW in the 60s and high 50s
are on the docket down the stretch. This team has ELEVEN new players. Two off nights and we will be out of the top 16 looking in. Opponents will bring their A game every night. They have already laid eggs against Maine and LIU. Maine is much improved however. The bullseye on their back is huge. We’re at 10 so there is a little buffer. Two off nights and there’s no room to move back up. Harvard has top 3 talented teams in the country. Let’s hope they continue to win so that’s an opportunity to recover PW points down the path. A difficult challenge to say the least……they’re loaded and could win it all.

Agree for the most part but QU has 2 vs Harvard, UMass or Lowell in Ireland and possibly a gave Vs UConn at CT ice. Tall order to think they can will all those but the cards are in their hands.
